  1. Thanks guys. I guess I should have worded it different. Fishing with wind out of the north is not a waste of time? It's just an old wife's tale?
  2. Do you let wind direction deter you from fishing? Especially if it's from the north?
  3. What braided line(brand) works best with a spinning reel? I want to use it to fish jigs for bass. Thanks.
  4. I want to start jig fishing for bass, but need advice. I assume I need a medium/heavy action rod? What about line test? I use spinning rods/reels. I tried yesterday with a medium spinning rod, and it didn't seem stiff enough. Do you work the jig similiar to a worm? Thanks for any advice.
  5. I've owned both types and would never go back to a V-hull. I love the stability of my 48" wide floor. Of course a V-hull takes choppy water better. But if the water's too rough, I don't go out.
  6. The most important thing is how much you guys weigh, and you did not tell us.
  7. Do you transport your raft inflated, or do you inflate it at the lake? If at the lake, what do you use? A pump that works off the car battery? I'm thinking about buying a small raft, but I know nothing about them. Is there any website where I can learn more about rafts? Thanks.
  8. I understand about the price. Is it also the light weight of the inflatables you like? Have you considered a used canoe, kayak or small jon boat?
  9. Is there any benefit to using red worm hooks? Or is it just hype?
  10. I've found they can be caught in pretty shallow water at night. Literally in 1' of water throwing at shoreline cattails, etc.
  11. My favorite lure for night fishing is the Jitterbug. The slower you work it the better. It's easy to say, but don't set the hook until you feel the weight of the fish.
  12. What size hook do you guys recommend for the Zoom trick worm? I just bought some and was surprised how skinny they are. Thanks.
  13. The trick worm, finesse worm and swamp crawler. I was looking at these on the Bass Pro website, but I can't tell how they differ. I know the trick worm is pretty skinny. Are the other 2 fatter, heavier? Thanks.
  14. I've never used a lizard. Do you guys use them all season?
  15. Thanks guys. So far black has the most votes at 4, and Watermelon red flake is second with 3.
  16. Thanks guys. What about my other 2 questions?
  17. I want to buy some Zoom trick worms, and want to get a couple proven colors. Please just give one or two of your favorite colors. Also, is it best to use natural(darker) colors for clear water and clear days? And brighter colors for stained water and cloudy days? Thanks.
  18. I say the plastic worm. What about you guys?
  19. Who makes the trick worm? I've never seen it.
  20. Yes, you need a deep cycle battery. Your battery charger will be fine, but don't leave it on too long.
  21. You may have a defective seat. Or they gave you the wrong screws.
