  1. Oh how quickly we change our minds on things...
  2. Worth a shot...I figure that its a bait they dont see too often.
  3. I'll vote for Yozuri Hybrid...some tough stuff with very little memory, at least compared to CXX
  4. The SK Red Eye Shads are bad about that...but they still catch fish even when swollen...
  5. But Gilbert garuenteed a championship in Cleveland before LeBron gets one...
  6. I fished in 98* water here last Tuesday!!!
  7. Many good lists suggested already... Here is what I am using the most of right now: 1. T-Rigged Rage Anaconda 2. Bomber Fat Free Shad, Fingerling, and Fry 3. Lucky Craft RC1.5 4. Rage Toad 5. Zoom Trick Worm 6. Storm Chug Bug
  8. My favorite reaction bite is punching 1 1/2 oz beavers or super hogs in thick, matted vegetation...the whole mat moves when you get bit. The reaction lures that I catch the most fish on are Red Eye Shads and RC1.5.
  9. Not trying to bash your product, just sharing my experience with them. Earlier this year I bought 8 H2O cranks to give em a whirl because they looked good in the box. I think I may have caught 2 fish off of them before I had broken the lips on all of em. Seems like every rock or tree I hit would break off the bill. One even broke on a fish. For $1.88, they are cheap so everyone can go ahead and try em' for yourself, but I've tried em and they just didnt hold up. BTW, I have only broken the lips off of a few other cranks in my entire life, so it wasn't "user error".
  10. 12lb Suffix Seige here...
  11. I have broken off the lips to every H2O crank I have ever used. I will stick with Bomber, LC, Strike King, and Bandit for all my crankin needs.
  12. That dont look like no Rage Lobster...did you put some extra appendages on that thing?
  13. LeBron gets way too much criticism from everywhere he looks. How would you react if you were in his shoes. If everywhere you looked, the entire country was telling you how "not clutch" you are or how you have "given up" on the team. LeBron CARRIED that team to the NBA finals, just as he did in Cleveland. In my opinion, LeBron is by far the most talented (not best) basketball player in the league, and would be a top five player in any sane persons mind. Nowitzki misses a game winner...nothing...Lebron gets a triple double...criticism. I dont understand it. Lebron's "legacy" changes every time he touches the ball. If he misses a shot or gets a TO, his legacy is "ruined", but if he makes a play, he is the next MJ. Why cant we all just watch basketball and let his dang "legacy" play out. I garuntee he will win multiple rings and before it is all said and done, he will considered one of the best to ever play the game. People put too much emphasis on the finals. Its just another game. If youve ever played ball before you know that you may be nervious before a game, but when the ball is tipped, you just play ball. He had a bad series, but that shouldnt be the face of his season. He single handedly beat the bulls in the 4th quarter all series long. All the hype about him choking is ridiculos. His time just hasnt came yet, but it will. I will not completely defend his "Decision", because it was ridiculos how it was blown up to be a huge thing, but even that was not completely LeBron, but instead was PA's and the media. But, he was in a loose loose situation. Stay in Cleveland and be called "money hungry", having no heart to win and only wanting more money, or go to Miami, and be considered "soft" and cant win on his own. He took a pay cut for the opportunity to win and I respect that. P.S. Im indifferent about LeBron. Not a huge fan, but not a hater. I have no reason to cheer for the heat besides the fact that they are freakin good!
  14. Its made for flipping, also known as a flippin switch. Its so you dont have to engage the reel once the bait hits the water. It just saves a little time, but I wouldnt buy one, seems like just one more thing to go wrong, plus, I like to leave my reel disengaged for a bit so the bait can fall vertically.
  15. I agree that Dobyns are one step ahead of the rest, but I can get an LTB for $40 through the upgrade program were as I would take a cut selling the Avid.
  16. I currently own Falcon Caras, Allstars, Powells, Dobyns, St. Croixs, Cabelas, BPS, and Castaways. As you can tell, no brand loyalty here, but if I had to pick a favorite, Dobyns would get the nod with Powell as a close second. St. Croix, to me, are very over-rated rods.
  17. Good Job Catt!! Thats a great trip.
  18. Ive been looking for a good excuse to go to Falcon, but its unlikely I will be able to make it . If I had some dates and cost I could see what I could do. Its a long shot, but I may be able to swing it...
  19. Thanks .RM I appreciate it. I currently have a Pflueger Trion on it, which is my heaviest reel, but it still feels tip heavy. Looks like a new St. Croix will be coming shortly...guess I'll try the LTB.
  20. Another vote for Bomber FF Shad!
  21. I've got the 714C and love it!! Powell rods are awesome.
  22. I love to throw a LC Fat CB Mini through spots that the pads are scattered and not super thick or on the outside edge of the thich pads. You would be suprised at how well a shallow crank will come through the pads without getting hung. Also, not many people opt for a crank in pads, so its something that the fish more than likely havent seen.
  23. Dobyns Savvy 734/Pflueger Supreme/30lb Suffix braid (Jigs, Frog) Powell Endurance 714C/Pflueger President/20lb Invisx (Plastics) Powell Max 703CB Glass/Shimano Curado/12lb Suffix Seige (Deep Cranks, Traps) 7' MH/F Avid/Pflueger Trion/15lb Invisx (Chatterbait, Light Plastics) 7' M/M Carbonlite/Shimano Curado/12lb Suffix Seige (General Cranks) 7' M/F Allstar GT40X/H2O Mettle/15lb Hybrid (Topwater) 6'9" MH/F Vendetta/Pflueger Trion/15lb Hybrid (Spinnerbait) 7' MH/F Fish Eagle II/Pflueger President/30lb Suffix 832 braid (C-Rig) 7' M/F Verita Spinning/Diawa TD Pro/6lb Hybrid (Finesse)
  24. I currently own an Avid 7' MH/F rod that I got using the upgrade program last month. When the rod came in it felt tip heaby, but I wanted to fish with it to make sure I didn't like it. I fished with it and, yup, I dont like it. That thing feels like it weighs a ton in my hand. So, I was wondering if I upgrade to the LTB if that will solve the current problem, tip heavyness. Is the LTB a better balance rod, such as a Dobyns? I love my Dobyns Savvy, but this Avid cost more and feels alot cheaper! Should I upgrade? Is it worth it?
