10lb 1oz on a clear/pepper flake Zoom Trick Worm. I dont really think the bait made the difference, but it was persistance that caught that fish. I threw a dozen lures at her for 2 hours before she finally bit!!

Falling water is a great opportunity to catch some fish. As a general rule, it makes the fish more predictable by dropping off to the first major break line or by positioning on the down current side of structure. If you can find one, many times you can load up the boat quick.

I hunt ducks and deer. We normally kill 500+ ducks a year, but this past year was WAY down with only 206. And no deer this past year!! I guess i used up all my luck two years ago when I killed a 10 point with a 20" spread that scored 165!!

Heres the deal, its not like he was putting 5lbers in traps and going and gettin em come tourny time. He sunk a tree in the water!! How many trees are there in lakes, hundreds, thousands, millions?? He was smart enough to strategically place them to hold fish during the time of the tounament. I think that it was genius and to be honest, I would do myself. If fishing a sunken tree is cheating then what are we supposed to do. Its not like you can just drop a top newhere in the lake and fish come running, you still have to pattern fish and put the top in the right places.

I dont use much trailers for spinnerbaits... But for a swim jig its ALWAYS a Rage Craw!!!

I've taken the skirt off of a chatterbait and put on a LFT Live Magic Shad and absolutely murdered the fish!! Its just a great all around bait!!

Maybe Im just doing something way wrong, but I cant seem to keep the head of the plastic up on the hook with straight shank hooks, but I would love to fish them. Im using Owner 4/0 EWG.

My rule of thumb is the muddier the water, the more noise and vibrations, thus I use a clacker along with as much squeal as I can get. If the water is clear, I prefer a 1/4 oz Cavitron with little water dispacement and I like how it leaves a bubble trail.

I do one of two things. 1. Downsize your baits, fish deeper than normal, and SLOW WAY DOWN!! 2. TIe on a trap or spinnerbait and throw it as fast as ya can till your arm falls off. Both have worked for me in the past.
