  1. Yea it stuk but ya got to get right back out, lol. Went to the dog pond and got one nice one on a worm. Left there at 11 30 and decided to go out to the mud hole at my house and picked up 2 more on the same kind of worm, 7 inch Berkley Power Worm. They wanted no part of my SB's though.
  2. Wow. This is better than a TV show. Next....lol
  3. Please dont jinx me! lol, just kidding. Good luck saturday!
  4. Myself and Masssliversrt4 are going to Wordens Pond this saturday if anyone's interested in meeting up. Maybe throw 20 dollars each in for the biggest fish? Lots of big Bass there plus probably where the next state record Nothern Pike will be caught. It's located in South Kingston R.I. on Wordens Pond Road. It's just about the states largest public body of water and only around 8 feet deep so it heats up fast. I know most of us know it but incase some don't I just wanted to entice. I have been doing pretty good there the last few weeks especially with swimbaits!
  5. You are lucky Matt. It has been pretty slow for me. I have a few days where I catch 3 or 4 but not enough. Are you hitting big lakes or small ponds? I find the big shallow water to be better as it takes longer to coll and heats up faster. Me and Masssilverrt are going to Wordens this weekend. It a big shallow lake with tons of big bass as well as Pike.
  6. I'll have you know they are the rave and making a come back! Personally, I would have chose fire engine red Here Ya Go Paul, Fire Engine Red!!!
  7. Wowsers. I really don't know what to say, :-?
  8. Awww come on it wasnt that bad. I was out from 7-12. Heading back out now! 8:51 AM 39.0 °F winds N 26.5 mph Scattered Clouds Which puts the Windchill around 25-26* Yet a balmy 34* on arrival! Yeah, not bad at all ;D I was just trying to convince myself, lol. Yes the wind was the killer. My truck thermometer read 34 too. I was in Warwick right near the bay so the winds were even worse. I caught 4 Bass though. Got one on my new Mattlure Largemouth bass Swimbait. Nice! Big deal.....you got got bass, I got chafed! ;D Way to go! Chafed, Ouche! They make a cream for that, ;D

  11. Looks deadly. I just got back from Bill's Bait. It was my first trip there as I usually go to shops in RI or Bass Pro. WOW! I'm hooked for sure. Got some Mattlure soft bodies and a MS Mini. Up till now I've just been useing te money minnows and other cheap types. Im on my way out now to try em out!
  12. I'm going out friday and seeing if anyones interested. Haven't decided an anywhere yet. Anyone interested in coming? My boat or yours doesn't matter. Southern Mass or RI. Anthony.
  13. Russ I went out for 3 hours today at milford thinking the weeds had died. off. Not even a nibble.. Fish where shallow but spooky as all hell.. Throw even a worm and the would just scatter.. this was in 1 FOW... That stinks. I was slammin them at the spot I decided to hit. It was a welcomed change!
  14. I have been fishing regularly and really have been finding no set pattern as far as fish location. I go to one place and there on the banks. Another and they're deep. I've been fishing a long time and I can almost always count on them on the banks or shallow flats. What have you been finding in your ponds? Could they have hunkered in already and its not even November. These last 2 weeks of October are usually some of the bes fishing of the year for me. In the last 2 weeks I have caught about 10 fish and I get out 5 days a week! Comments?
  15. -Terminator Spinner Bait, White -Spro Frog -Bass Magic Swim bait Those are my choices. They have all worked for me in the past.
  16. Yes it was brisk to say the least but it's just begining with November on the way! It's supposed to be windy again today but I'm heading out to a small pond in Warwick. I got a nice 5 lb 1 oz there friday and I'm looking for her big sister today lol. If I find her I'll post a pic.
  17. "For small, inexpensive swimbaits the GYCB Swim Senko rules! I also like Mattlures' Shad and if you can step up, the Mattlures' Baby Bass (3 for $29.95)." I havent tried the Mattlures yet. Im gonna get me some, lol. Thanks Roadwarrior!
  18. I hear you grim thats why I posted it for cheaper swimbaits. I can afford to spend more on a swimbait and have spent quite a bit on some but many people cant or just dont want to spend that much especially the casual fishermen. I have tried the Fatheads and they worked ok but I just didnt see as much action as I did with the Bass Magics. Thanks all.
  19. As far as the Shadolicious I purchase an even heavier weighted hook yesterday, 5/8 th 5/0 and used it and it was fine.
  20. I understand Bran but Im just focusing on the type that are carried at retail chains. I have various types of swims that I have paid almost 50 dollars for. Thanks.
  21. I have been useing various plastic swimbaits that are avaliable at Dicks and other stores that sell for under 9.99 with mixed results. I love th Bass Magic's Luck E Strike but am not so happy with some of the others. I purchased the Shadolicious by Strike King in the 5 1/2 size and all this bait did was spin round and round. I rigged it with a 1/2 ounce swimbait hook. What are some of your faviorites? Has anyone else had this issue with the Shadoicious? Do I need and even heavier weight? As I said, the Bass Magics are my favorite.
  22. I am very lucky. I sell on ebay full time and I can flip my schedule around. Most weeks Im out 5 days.
  23. I would try some suspending minniw type baits just to cover the mid depths. Obviously as the other guys said size it down a bit with some finesse baits as well. Small worms and the like. Good luck.
  24. Thanks lowbudget! Its even hard to find a forum with guys from RI period. I look forward to meeting everyone sometime. Im heading out in an hour or so. As long as theres no ice I fish. Im usually done with my work by 12 pm so keep in touch. I'm on the water 4 or 5 times a week especially during the week. Talk soon.
