Husky Jerk
Anyone use a Rapala Husky Jerk for bass? I know it's mostly for northern fish, but it seems like it would be a pretty good jerkbait.

Garfishing
Gar are probably the most nasty smelling fish around. They are fun to catch though. ;D
-
Garfishing
They feed on dying baitfish on top. That's probably why you've caught them on a topwater. They won't bite you. One trick to do with a needlenose though, is to put a stick between its jaws vertically, holding its mouth open. It will then jump frantically out of the water multiple times trying to get it out. Pretty cool. btw... They have so many bones, you can't really eat them, plus they're nasty.

Please help to identify
Did you hear it drumming? Kinda creepy and cool at the same time.

Garfishing
They are extremely scary at night. I was in a boat while jughooking, and went to get a jug. My grandaddy pulled it halfway out of the water, and BOOM! This huge gar jumps out of the water . I nearly jumped in at 2:00 in the morning ;D. It turned out to be 52 inches long. HUGE for a needlenose.

Spincast For Bass?
The old 33's (none made recently) are some of the best reels I have ever used . My grandpa and I use them religiously for a variety of species. I have sort of gone away from them recently, because I started focusing on bass more , but they are a GREAT reel. ;D

Flipshaking?
Thanks! @ Jake.: I thought the logical name would be "flipshaking" because you could use it as a flipping method for senkos and finesse worms on a shaky head jig. What kind of jighead do you find works best?

Flipshaking?
Recently, I was watching the BASS tour on ESPN, and one of the commercials was Ike talking about rigging a Senko wacky style on a roundhead tungsten jig, calling it "Flipshaking." Have any of you heard of or used this rig? :-? btw...Ike said it was the hottest technique on the tour. Why haven't I been seeing KVD or Rick Clunn use it then?
