  1. Nice Fish, Great Job.
  2. Welcome Dangle
  3. Was caught in lake Wellington, from the shore at around 4:00 pm.
  4. If I were to spend more money than planned and get a revo, which is a good for the money ??? I was looking at the SX, for like 160, and the STX for 200. What is the difference, and is the STX worth the extra 40 dollars ???
  5. I am looking for a baitcasting reel to compliment a 7 foot medium graphite rod. I am currently looking at the Abu-Garcia Black Max, Shimano Citica, or a Diawa around the same price. I just want something to cast pretty smooth and reel in smooth also. I will use 12 lb. line. Right now i have an Abu-Garcia Ambasseduer 5500C3. I want something that is slimmer profile wise, and that will be somewhat smoother.
  6. So, everyone agrees on the All Star ? It isn't because it comes with a free gear bag, is it ? Also the 7 foot medium is a good choice for soft plastics in South Florida Lakes?
  7. I am going to be buying a new baitcasting setup soon. For the reel I will more than likley get a Abu-Garcia Black Max, or a Revo maybe. I can't decide on which rod. I am looking in the $70 range. I found a couple that look nice. I want to get a 7 foot, medium. I will mostly be using a senko, or t-rigged soft plastics. Heres the ones I found so far, which do you think is the best, or another suggested one in the price range. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks. 8. Ah, the blue thing was something from school, it was blue vs red or something like that. Forgot to take it off, I usually go fishing right after i get off the bus and go home to get stuff.
  9. The PB was 9.14 lbs. Yea caught them all from shore, dont have a boat.
  10. Oh, are left handed reels made with most models??? Oh, i found it. When it says left handed, when it says left handed, means for leftys (crank on right side) not the crank is on the left side ?
  11. I am left handed, and I am looking to purchase another baitcasting reel. I currently have a Abu-Garcia Ambasseduer 5500 CL3, which has "handle" on the right side, unlike most which are on the left side. The thing is, i got it as a gift, and I dont know where i can find another reel for left handed people. I was looking for a abu-garcia black max, or a revo maybe. Where can i find these reels for left handed people ?
  12. Caught the big one on Zoom® - Baby Brush Hog. Color - Black Emerald. Texas rigged with a 1/16 ounce, so they fall very slowly. I usually have alot of luck with the Brush Hog, when all else fails, I use them and work most of the time.
  13. All These were caught out of Lake Wellington. Biggest To Date:
  14. I mostly fish lake wellington, water is pretty clear. heres some fish from there. biggest:
  15. id say replica, so that maybe you can catch the fish again.
  16. I have only caught a few small mouth, but i can say the ones i caught fought 2 times harder than largemouths there size.
  17. Roger, thanks again for the help.
  18. ok, im going to get the clear, but is a fluorocarbon leader nessicery, or suggested, or should i spool just the yo-zuri hybrid.
  19. I could not find any ultra soft on basspro but I found Yo-Zuri® Hybrid Line 12 lb. .13 diameter. choice of either clear or camo green. also i have some berkley 12lb, and some spider-wire, line at home, but this would be alot better im guessing?
  20. Thanks for the quick replies, I have a few spinning rods, but once i learned to use bait cast, i prefer it for bass fishing alot more. 7' medium sounds good to me, what about fishing line?
  21. I started fishing seriously a few years ago. I have not had the time lately, but want to get back into it. I want to get a new reel/rod, something more finesse. right now i have an ambasseduer, and a 6 foot Berkley graphite rod, medium heavy I think. I want to use this for salt water, but want to purchase a new rod/reel for fresh water. Here is what i was thinking for the reel. will this get the job done? Abu Garcia - Black Max (cant post link yet, sorry) for the rod, i want something more flexible than what i have. my current rod isn't the easiest thing to cast unless i put alot of force into it. casting weightless senko's isn't easy. i want something more flexible than a Medium heavy, and what length do you think is good? i will be mostly using plastic worms, fishing lakes in south Florida. also, what type of line? i have on 12lb berkley mono. would fluorocarbon be worth the extra money ??? thanks in advanced.
