Hey guys just curious to know when you caught ur pb largemouth and comment if guys want on how u caught it

2:30am, 9.2lbs.

Many are going to reply "middle of day" (because they don't fish at 2am) You'll never know what that night bite is like to judge it if you are tucked in next to the wife.  In other words, the stats show the majority of the records are caught midday, the same time that the majority of people are fishing.  If 90% of the people fished at night and 10% during the day, I'd bet good money that the stats would thusly reflect those percentages

Doug Hannon also believes that the bigger bass feed mostly during the day but also admits that it's very hard to fool one in full light, that's how & why they got that big.  He also admits,however, that these same fish do not see your misgivings as much at night (line, unnatural motion of lure, etc), yet they feed then also,just not as actively.

Clear water or high pressure lakes, I'm all about the night bite.  Even with less active feeding going on, you still have a better chance at your big fish in my opinion.

Mine was Friday around 8:30, so I voted early morning because thats early for me!

Started fishing about 5am trying for topwater bite and just couldn't put it together. Wasn't doing much better with anything until about 9am and caught 7lb 15oz ;D!!! Little later caught 4lb using same bait and rig. T-rigged Brush Hog (grn. pumkin) 1/8oz weight. The planets must have been in alignment for me that morning...

7lbs. april 29, 2007. 7:30 am.

Mine was caught around 4 in the afternoon.

My personal best wascaught last year in the hottest weather I have ever fished. I caught it on a 4" renegade purple worm. I caught a 9.5 LMB in a farm pond with the water about 5ft at its deepest spot at 1230 pm in may 2007. The pond is about 15 acres and hard to access without a small boat.

12lb 6oz - Afternoon at about 2ish.

5.2 lbs. 6:15 pm.

6 1/4-6 1/2lbs and it was about 6:30 PM on I think July 24, of '04 or '05

about 6:15 am on a black cavitron buzzbait...few weeks ago, 5 lbs

July 2007, around 12:30.  We were on vacation and staying in a cabin on the lake and were about to head in for lunch when I said, "one more cast" and there she was 10-8.

Mine was around 7:30pm.  Using an exacalibur spit'n image pumpkinseed color.  With each twitch I could just visualize a bass coming up and nailing it and then it happened!      

Last year 6 1/2 pounds about 9 a.m. Windy and raining. White Strike King Pure Poison chatter type bait.

When you fish Lake St. Clair, you don't usually brag about your largemouth. Now if you want to know about my smallmouth................back in'02, late summer, 8:30 A.M., 12' of water, 6lb-15oz bruiser on a shad colored Shad Rap.

Late evening, around 7:30 P.M.

On a black Cavitron buzzbait with a silver blade in a pond.

She was seven and a half pounds.

I had to change my underware when I went home!   ;D

12.4 caught fishing with a guide on Orange lake in North Florida in 1977. Fishing with a large shiner.

4 of my top 5 largemouths have been caught been 11 and 1.The only one that didn't come in that time frame was caught about 6PM.

Late evening. Around 8:00pm.

Fat Ika Green Pumpkin.

Around 7:30 or so.  Just as it was getting dark.  Early March. 9-1

4:00 - 4:30 PM  Early August.  Temperature 103 degrees.  

6 lbs 15 oz

Now i am curious if late morning and late evening are in the lead only because that's when we are in the mood to fish and therefore fishing more during those hours.
