I prefer the standard grip on the G.Loomis GLX's or on the Dobyns rods because I have big hands and I can cast with more comfort with a full grip. However, when finesse fishing like dropshotting, darterheads or footballheads, I use the split grips like on the Shimano Cumara because I am looking for more feel and sensitivity than casting distance. This is just my take! Tight lines, K-DOGG! ;D

I would say deep cranking like DD22's, DT 16's and smaller swimbaits like Osprey Dinks, basstrix, and Mattlures. I have the 7'6 model and it is a very nice rod for the price! I paid $29.00 for mine!

For a crankbait that is 1/2 ounce or less, the Daiwa Sol is a much better option than the Fuego. The Sol is the perfect shallow crankbait reel in my opinion. ;D

I say Sunline or Seaguar Invizx! ;D

I have the 7'3 Fenwick Crankshaft Rod and it is half glass and half graphite. It is a great rod for shallow and medium running crankbaits. Check them out! ;D
