  1. I think Sunline Sniper FC is aso a cheaper FC and a darn good one too for not much more than a Big Mac combo at Mickey D's.
  2. Gotcha! I have the aluminum body pin remover.
  3. Capt. Bob, Is the one you are referring to different than the one in the video? I have only used mine one time and it worked great.
  4. I have this pin remover. You need to make sure it works for your reel and with anything else, take your time and be careful so that you don't damage your spool. https://youtu.be/IkJClDHtTsA
  5. Funny thing that I have had two of the old B Model Cuados and back then, I wasn't into dress up parts, bearings etc and I don't ever remember taking the spool out so I have no idea how many spool bearing it has. I did pull up a schematic but I can't enlarge it to see it well enough.
  6. Hedgehog Studios makes a tool to remove the pin that is on your spool shaft. If it were my reel, I would replace all three bearings but there are some guys that think the bearing under the cast control cap serves no purpose.
  7. I think that I will run down there next weekend and check it and see what else he has.
  8. This is the USDM version of the Alphas or is that the Fuego?? It will be at a local Flea Market next weekend.
  9. Check with Japan Tackle or place a want add in the classifieds so here or TT.
  10. CU200 what? Japan Tackle has them for the 100B and they say Avail has more spools for Shimano baitcasters so please ask.
  11. Check out Hedgehog Studios for what might fit.
  12. Just a little FYI, the Chronarch 100B handle goes on the same way the Antares AR does. The OP can put any handle on his reel that he chooses but IMHO, anything but the original or a nice 4 bearing aftermarket handle would be a downgrade. This is my AR with a ZPI Handle. To the OP, the Part # for your handle is BNT 3207. I called Mike's Reel Repair and they have one in stock. http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/3207-handle-assmy-p-113955.html Chronarch CH100B
  13. I like 6'6" and under for casting one handed and the shorter rods come in handy when fishing from the bank where trees are a concern.
  14. That looks like the same handle as the Calais CL100A. If it is, the part# is BNT3012. It is out of stock until late May. The Antares AR is the JDM version of the CL100A and Japan Tackle could order that for you if you need it sooner. BTW, how long is the 100B handle? The Antares AR us 70mm and I think the CL100A is the same.
  15. I have the Yumeya Spool in an XT1000 and without a doubt, it is much easier to cast a lighter weight bait such as an unweighted Zoom Finesse Worm, than with a regular spool. As far a as distance goes, the fishing that I do with my BFS combo is shorter targeted casts but I was getting over 20 yards with an unweighted trick worm and 10# braid and I wasn't even using the right rod. The Yumeya spool may be a better option cause IIRC, it holds more line than the Avail Spool and that would equate to more momentum for a longer distance cast. I just went in my backyard and the XT1000 Yumeya Spool / Loomis CR721 combo and 10# Sniper FC with a Zoom Finesse Worm was going over 20 yards without any issues.
  16. If you don't know how to cast with a baitcaster, FC is the last line on the planet that you should be using. My advice is go buy some 12# Big Game and spool up the Curado and get proficient at learning to cast one reel before trying to learn to cast on three different reels. Screw the KVD L&L! You don't need it with 12# Big Game! Also, 15# YZ Hybrid is like everyone else's 20# mono. It can be like a slinky as you have found out.
  17. Thank you! I have it mounted on a Loomis CR721IMX with a Yumeya shallow spool. It is a very fun combo to fish with.
  18. IIRC, The Hookup Tackle had the GL2 Rep Samples for $125.00. That would have been the time for to get one.
  19. Yes, I do care about how a rod/reel look together.
  20. The last thing that I want to do on BR is argue with a fellow member but I find it hard to believe that you don't understand why some people don't mind paying a premium for something that obviously brings them pleasure. I personally think that you are being a little bit difficult on this issue for no reason other than to be difficult.
  21. The benifit is it makes the man happy! The 'where is the benifit ' argument is really a bunch of crap! There are people that would make that argument 'and have' that buying anything more than an Ugly Stik or any reel over $100.00 is a waste of money.
  22. WOW! Was that NRX already broke or are you doing mods?
  23. Both of mine are going to be sporting 85mm ZPI Handles with Power Grip II knobs. One of them is already set up that way I'll post a pic of it when I get home from work . 85mm ZPI Handle and a Core 100 Star Drag
