whats the best and or most reliable knot to use with braid
I use the improved clinch and haven't had an issue. Most people use the palomar knot though. I've broken hooks, bent snaps (supposed 30lb snaps on 30lb braid) and hauled in branches so I think most quality knots used will work, just some people more confident in some knots than others.

Would you rather
I'll take either, but would definitely go with the heavier fish. Maybe if I had multiple double digit fish I'd go for the prettier one, but I doubt I'll ever get there.

Unusual catches on artificials?
I just narrowly missed catching one of these on a 1 ounce Daredevle this weekend. I didn't see the bird at all on my cast. At first as I saw it start to follow I thought I was looking at a personal best bass. Then something looked wrong so I ripped the lure away at the last moment thinking it was a snapping turtle. I've had birds take a look at a spook as they fly overhead, but never had a bird chase a lure underwater.

Do you care what you look like when your out fishing?
I fish the banks in my hometown, a very populated area. So I'll try to look presentable. If I'm going farther from home, I'll dress more for function than looks. I actually stop off and fish on the way home for work quite a bit and get some looks fishing in a dress shirt and dockers.

Mustad Thor Line
They only had about 5 or 6 spools on clearance at KMart. $4, looks like I lucked out.

Mustad Thor Line
Any thoughts on this line? They were almost giving it away at KMart - which makes me nervous.

Wachusset Resevoir
Any tips - I'm heading there in the next few days depending on the weather. I'm hoping the smallies are still accessible from shore.

COPENHAGEN SOAK
I've heard stranger things - makes about as much sense as coffee.

Snaps & Swivels
I'm going to have to fish them both ways now to look for differences - snap to split ring, snap to lure. My belief was that since the bait is free at the split ring, the action is not impacted if you tie to the split ring, snap to the split ring, or snap to a snap to a snap to the split ring.

Someone help me find some more of these cranks?
There are a lot of Musky baits that look like that, but haven't seen that one. I believe it may be discontinued. edit - check out muskyshop.com, they have a lot of similar looking baits.

Not the favorite hot bait right now. Your all time favorite
Mepps Aglia. It has caught me the most fish and it's a simple chuck and wind.

Fractured phrases, or malapropisms
All I can think of is that commerical where the guy is saying "what do you mean we don't have French benefits?' That and Archie Bunker complaining about chest pain -

Another, different swivels and snaps thread
Swivels are used to eliminate line twist. The benefit of a snap is that you can switch lures without having to retie. I have fishing ADD and switch lures constantly. Especially since I use only one rod - I like to be able to throw a follow up bait quickly if I'm getting follows but no committments.

Snaps & Swivels
I use a 30lb snap on large lures, 20lb for smaller lures. Only use swivels for Carolina rigs. Tie direct to hook only for texas rigs.

Help indentifying lure
How's it fish? Just took a peek at them online - I though they only made RattLtraps. I'm guessing it's similar in quality to a Rouge?

Top 5 Favorite Bands
CWB - "1) Pre-sober Aerosmith" I couldn't agree more. I heard they are going to play "Toys in the Attic" front to back on this summer tour.

Rehooking YUM Dingers on pointed end
Fishing the wave worms I usually start out with it rigged normally, then backwards, then wacky once the sides are suitably ripped up.

Rage Tail Baits
Just to clarify, I'm catching largemouth on the shad, they feed on the herring as well. I'm hoping for striper though, it would be nice to land one 3 miles inland on freshwater gear. I find with the shad the hookups are easier too than with frogs, the shad is a little bit thinner giving it more bite. Hoping for a BPS Fathers Day coming up, then I'll load up on Space Monkeys and Anacondas.

gramps lost it....
In theory, if it brings in the baitfish it brings in the bass.

Reminiscing about SOUTH PARK
Tom Cruise in the closet with Travolta "Tom, everyone knows you're in the closet" Super Best Friends with Jesus, Budha, Mohammed etc. vs David Blaine. The Hippie Fest episode that was like the movie "The Core" where they had to drill through hippies and play Slayer over the sound system to get rid of them. Timmay and Jimmy joining the Crips because they thought it was a group for crippled people. The Osama bin Laden episode with Cartman acting like Bugs Bunny to Osama. Cartmans hand being JLo dating Ben Affleck.

Rage Tail Baits
Anyone hear of the shads being hit by Stripers - either fresh water or salt? The herring have been running up river near my house so I've been mostly fishing "herring" looking baits. I've been starting my outings with the Rage Shad. First cast is right in front of the opening of a fish ladder and I'm 2 for 2 on my first cast. Salt water stripers have run up river following the herring so I'm hoping for more than LM or SM.

Small Easy-Casting Topwaters??
All great suggestions. I'm a fan of the Zara Puppy. Another suggeston - a small Johnsons silver minnow with a 3" grub trailer.

yellow craw crank at top of page in add
I believe you are correct, and a lot cheaper than the Strike Pro.

yellow craw crank at top of page in add
I think it may be more of a generic picture. Strike Pro has a flex craw that is like their flex swimbaits.
