  1. Bandit 100, 200, and 300. I also like Strike King series 1 and series 3. Good baits that won't break the bank.
  2. I use it on my soft plastics and jigs. I haven't used a lot of different attractants so I really can't compare it to other brands. The main reason I use it is to get the fish to hold on to the bait a little longer, giving me more time to set the hook. Especially in the spring when I'm a little slow on the draw ;D
  3. They make bilge pumps, you know... Really??? What about people who don't want to put a bilge pump in their aluminum boat? Pulling the plug on plane works just fine, smart*ss . How do you get the plug in and out while on plane? Do you mean reaching down over the transom with the boat on plane to put it in our out? I'm not being a smart *ss, just curious.
  4. Anyone remember the same type lures that used to be sold on TV informericials? Its funny, but those lures would be laughed at but because Lazer Lure has 2 pro's endorsing them, they sound more legit. Back on topic, any lure will catch fish at any given time but to me, the light is a gimmick.
  5. I forget the boat keys once, had to haul the boat all the way home and get them. Also, fired up the big motor and took off with the trolling motor still down. It's like "hey, why is all that water flying up around the front of the boat?" then it hits you
  6. There's gonna be a lot of confused people in that crowd if he really starts talking about walleye fishing
  7. Those were sold exclusively through Bass Pro Shops in the mid to late 1990's when Pflueger kind of made a "comeback". Without digging through my old catalogues, I think the weight was about 10oz, maybe six bearings and I think the gear ratio was 6.?:to 1 and a flippin' switch. If I remember correctly they sold for about $100.
  8. To me, there's no way to determine who really is the best of all times. If you put KVD back in that era, would he have done so well? Or if Martin and Clunn were in their prime right now, how would they fare? It's two totally different eras when you factor in the difference in tackle, electronics, etc. I think what has tarnished Roland's rep is some of the products he has endorsed. I think the greatest angler debate a few years back got it right when Clunn and Martin were the final two. When Skeet and Ike have 9 AOY's or 4 Classic trophies, maybe they can compare. Until then, I don't think so.
  9. Not sure what the guys fishing the Classic were using but most I saw were fishing the lure fairly slow. I use a 6:1 myself and speed up or slow down accordingly. There are a lot of variables besides the gear ratio that could explain why you didn't catch anything on your Red Eye Shad such as time of year, depth the fish were holding, water temp and clarity, colar of lure, etc. Lipless cranks are fish catching machines, they just have there time and place. Don't give up on 'em!
  10. so what? x2 x2x2 How about quit reading them and move on if they bother you so much? No one forces you to open any thread. : How dare you use common sense and logic. As the old saying goes, common sense ain't that common :
  11. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_54763____SearchResults This is what I use. I use the big green Okeechobee Fats bag so I just substituted this for one the boxes that came with it.

  13. I've done pretty well on Bass Pro Shops 3 inch Stick-O in clear water wacky rigged. I don't think it has the same wiggle on the free fall as the larger sized but when you twitch it a little bit it still has a pretty good action.
  14. Same here. I tried Norman Speed clips for a while but then I had two open up with fish on. After losing a couple of lures and a couple of fish, that's enough.
  15. I've used their XPS EWG for several years. I've never had one bend, the biggest bass I've caught on one was about 5lbs. And as far as the sharpness, I think we've all missed fished on a soft plastic bait, so was it because of the BPS hook? I don't have a problem with them but to each his own.
  16. The Citica E is listed as 27 IPT. I use one for shallow to medium cranks with no problems.
  17. If you fish any shallow water, these are a must-have bait.
  18. A few years ago I was fishing a Mann's Chug N' Spit and this big bass came out of the water just behind it. The whole fish came out of the water except maybe a few inches of it's tail. I seemed like it was in slow motion when it fell back into the water, reminded me a whale on TV when they show one in slow-mo and it slowly falls back down. It was probably in the 6-7lb range. I reeled my bait back in and threw a T-rig worm back to the spot several times where he submerged but he was :'(gone
  19. Laydowns. Give me a bank with a bunch of laydowns and a square billed crankbait or spinnerbait and I'm good to go.
  20. I voted sometimes. If it's 3 or above I'll go ahead and weigh it. A lot of places that I fish, anything 3 or above is a pretty good fish...to me anyway. I guess it's all relative to the general size of the fish in the area/body of water you fish.
  21. Good start. Throw in a few jigs, black or black/blue.
