Let's Talk Fantasy Lineup For The Chesapeake Bay
Considering that they can't get passed the Conowingo Dam? No. Maybe one guy might try it, but a 15lb stringer of smallies is a great bag, but the largies in the bay WILL produce 25lb+ bags.

Let's Talk Fantasy Lineup For The Chesapeake Bay
The bay is my home water. Those fish move, and fast. Nate welam won an open here fishing isolated off-shore (but still shallow) wood cover, as I refer to as "low tide spots". I'd expect someone in the top five to do a similar pattern in the northeast. The flags will be crowded, and I'm sure someone will be making a long run south.

Gliss Monotex Line ~ A Brief Review
I tried the 24lb Gliss yesterday on a drop shot yesterday, and holy cow, this stuff is for REAL! It reminds me of braid, but it's super smooth, and a lot thinner than my old 15lb Suffix 832. I use a 1/4oz drop shot weight most of the time, and was effortlessly casting 35-40 yards. When you cast, you notice no noise, unlike the dragging sound braid makes, and that goes for line coming back to the reel as well. I was using a tungsten weight, and was counting pebbles: this line is super sensitive and had zero stretch from what I could tell. I was also using a 10lb invisx leader. I didn't catch any fish, so I'm curious how this line will perform under fight pressure, but I'm very confident. I paid $28 for 300 yards: a great deal even for braided line, which this isn't, but it's similar.

Online Tourny?
I had an idea like that, but with the guys in my club. You fish all year, be it in a tournament or fun fishing, and you'd track all of your biggest bass for the whole year. At the end of the year (or at our annual awards banquet), the guy with the five biggest bass that year gets an award, like an Annual Achievement award. But the bass can only be in-state, or if you have an out-of-state competition. That way, someone who vacations every year on Lake Fork can't run away with it.

Chesapeake Help
If you fish the grass flats: blades, frog, Texas rigs, senkos. If you're fishing hard cover: blades, cranks, his. Good luck!

Spadderdock/ Lily Pad Help!
Is the whole lake like that? I have a theory I follow: if there is an over-abundance of cover, I ignore most of it. I find hard lines, or areas where there isn't much of said cover. In your case, try and find areas of those pads with depressions in the bottom. It doesn't have to be much: only 8" can make a difference. They should stack in those areas.

Bought New Frogs But...
They only have one size right now, 65. You only need a white one and black one, but I like coot (black/red) lime (white/green). Use the white on sunny days and ack on cloudy/dark days. I fish a frog whenever the fish are on shallow cover with or without grass. Walk it like a spook. Heavy braid, heavy 7'-7'3" Rod. Do work!

New Line: Gliss - Thoughts?
It's pretty affordable at $14.99 for 150 yards. $27.99 for 300 yards @ Ardent Reels .com Compared to braid prices, this has a lot of promise. I've been reading more about it, and have highlighted the claims which will need to be tested: -Zero line twist -zero stretch -0% water absorbsion -ultra long casting distance -thinner diameter than braid I too am curious about the translucent, but it seems to be trying to replace braid. So I'll buy some and treat it like braid. Let's see how it holds up!

Bought New Frogs But...
I bought a River2Sea Bully Wa II a few months ago. I caught about 100 bass on it, and just ordered a dozen more. Best frog I've ever fished.
