  1. I change cover, then structure, then depth. That is, unless I'm getting follows. Then I change presentations and/or color.
  2. With a more fuel-efficient high-performance power source complete with a 5-year warranty. https://www.suzukimarine.com/outboards/ss-series/
  3. I'll just leave this right here: Mariners have won the last 25 of 30 Won 8 games in a row Are 1 game back from the division leader.
  4. That's hilarious!! And I think the first time anyone has made a meme of me! LOL!!! I'm rolling!
  5. Ok, here's how you do it!
  6. I did that in the Yukon. 7 days in a canoe, living off of freshly caught Grayling.
  7. I was surprised to discover it's actually easier to hold with the reel between the last two fingers instead of two in front and two in back. Note how my thumb rests comfortably on top of the handle (where it's flat). It feels custom. Reels seat seems solid and well-designed.
  8. Here's a new video that's loaded with advanced casting tips!
  9. I realize it's just the preseason, but 2 games in, and I think it's safe to say the Seahawks will NOT be near the bottom of the league in defense again! They've definitely improved.
  10. Same here. Just dumb.
  11. Unofficially, the first one was a Lake Fork in 2006. Officially it was 2007 at Lake Fork. For the next 7 years the annual event visited several other venues including Kentucky lake, Pickwick, Guntersville, and Wilson. My original vision was to grow it to the point it would held at the same place and time of year. Make it the "Sturgious of bass fishing" so to speak. But that turned out to be too ambitious. The problem was basically twofold: 1. Logistics - coordinating boaters/non-boaters, evening dinners (both potluck and restaurant), group reservations for lodging, guest speakers, sponsor donations, raffle, boat rentals (if available) etc. is major work - and expensive. 2. People backing out. Turns out most people just LOVE the idea of the roadtrip, but won't attend when it's time to plunk their money down and/or get time off work. What ends up happening is that everyone raises their hand at first and commits to going. Reservations and other logistics above are worked out. And then 4 weeks before the event, people start dropping out like flies. What was originally 75+ people that said they'd go ends up being around 20. Ironically, the one event that had the biggest turnout was when we charged $50 per person. We had nearly 60 people at that event. Of course, they got more than that back in the form of sponsorship goodies and raffle prizes. We tried different places and dates in an attempt to improve turnout, but that didn't help much. Even tried replicating the one with the most turnout, but that ended up with 27 people. A few years ago, a much smaller event was planned at Toledo Bend (no raffle, speaker, organized dinners, etc), and the same thing happened. I think 12 people ended up attending, with most them staying 2-3 days of the 7 day event, and not all on the same days. It forced 4 to a boat on some days. So ya, neat idea, and it's awesome when you can get 30+ people to attend. But that's a lofty goal. Plus no matter the lake that's chosen, there's a ton of people complaining it's not near them. I even had one sponsor quit because it wasn't held a third time on Lake Fork (near where he lived). I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but just explaining why we don't do it anymore. Some people have hosted their own regional events with mixed results. I don't think any of them had more than 10 people. @BassinSoldier I remember you and your buddy! It was great meeting you guys and hanging out with you!
  12. Now it's morphed to a post/message that says, "help me identify this murderer please." with a link to click.

  16. The Raiders looked scary-good in their first preseason game.
  17. Hey guys, There's a virus circulating on Facebook. You'll see a post or PM where somebody you know was tagged with a post saying "Just died in an accident... " or something similar, with some image of a car wreck and a link supposedly with more information. DO NOT CLICK ON IT!! It's a virus that will hack your FB account and steal information from your computer! https://malwaretips.com/blogs/beware-of-the-just-died-in-an-accident-facebook-scam/
  18. My dentist is a fly fisherman. He always accuses me of biting the line when tying knots and tells me how bad that is on my teeth. I don't even know how to do that!
  19. Don't look now, but the Mariners are on FIRE! They've won 7 in a row, 6 consecutive series wins, 9 of 11, 15 of 19, and 10 games beyond 500, all the while making it look EASY! Yes, they still have some work ahead of them, but they're kicking on the afterburners at the right time!
