  2. Thought this was pretty cool, so I thought I'd share.... https://www.simmsfishing.com/discover/stories/casting-in-jaguey-grande
  3. These are called "The General", a new MaxScent bait that has quickly replaced the old standby in our tacklebox. Why? Because they're like the old standby, but more durable, filled with scent, and has more action. And look at the colors!
  4. I'm going to guess that you set the hook the instant you detect a bite, for fear of losing the fish. If so, do this the next time you have a fish on: don't set the hook. Yup, you heard me. But don't reel either. Just hold the rod and feel the fish. Notice how long he holds on to it? Now do it again with the next fish, and the next, and another. Once you're "conditioned" to knowing you have a window to set the hook, you'll then know how much time you have to properly position yourself and the rod before setting the hook, thus avoiding the "reaction hookset" as I like to call it.
  5. One more thing - if the baits are stored so they're kinked, it's possible the body has formed a bend in it, which would cause it to track wrong - even though you rigged it right.
  6. Win a pile of the new MaxScent baits! Enter every day for the best chances! https://www.bassresource.com/giveaway/powerbait-maxscent-giveaway-2.html

  10. Just got these Bandit Rack-It squarebills! Looking forward to whackin' a few with them. Fall crankbaiting is here!
  11. Another key point: I've left the baits on the hook for a week, and they didn't dry out like Gulp. In fact, I picked up where I left off catching fish with them.
  12. It's official. B.A.S.S. has cancelled the Elite Series events planned for the Columbia River and the California Delta. They will be replaced by two venues in the South East. It seems vocal complaints by some of the pros are what swayed B.A.S.S. to cancel the events.
  13. Until then, it's all gossip.
  14. Here it is! https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/Bass-Pro-Tour-91118.html

  17. None that I'm allowed to share. But there is another announcement from B.A.S.S. coming in the next few days, unrelated to this, that's going to tick off a lot of people. I can't share just yet though. Stay tuned....
  18. Here's my newest video on how to catch bass with a chatterbait. Enjoy!
  19. Man I've despised those PWCs for years. But now they're making it hard to hate them. Take a look at this: It's a new fishing PWC. More info: https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/seadoo-fishpro-91018.html

  21. Good thing a mod didn't post this review. Otherwise they'd be accused of shilling for a sponsor. LOL!!!
