Recommend intermediate-level books?
Dude! Thanks for the shoutout! That means a lot to me. I appreciate it. I have all the books mentioned above. All have their merits. I also have Rick Clunn's and Mike Iaconelli's books, and a few others I can't remember right now. Which reminds me, it's probably a good time to go back and read them again. Yes, I've poured 20+ years of my life into this site and videos to provide the best free resource of bass fishing info, but the books are where I got a ton of terrific, reliable, authentic info that's hard to beat even in the Internet age. Definitely worth the investment.

How Dangerous Are Lead Weights?
I made a video showing how to insert a lead jighead into a tube. I usually use Megastrike to coat the head first, which makes it easier to slide it into the tube. But as I was recording the video, I could just "hear" the complaints: people accusing me of hawking products, or people whining about having to buy something to do the task, etc. So in a split-decision, I showed how you can just wet the jighead with your mouth instead. Boy...the comments that followed! You'd think I'd be dead by now! LOL!!

Split shot / mojo rig
When the bite is tough, bass aren't in the mood to chase baits. So you have to put it right in front of their face, fish it slow, and entice them to strike it. That's what a splitshot rig does. As others have mentioned above, you'll get a lot of bites when the fishing is good, so it's a good rig to use when you're learning what a strike feels like. Repetition breeds success. Hope that helps! Glenn

What do you think, do I need to level my trailer?
Looks like your receiver hitch is a 1" drop. It's really hard (if not impossible) to find one without a drop. You can flip it over instead. By the looks of it, that would probably give you the lift you need.

What size hooks do you guys use for wacky rigging senkos?
Then use a small hook, if that's what you like. There's no "wrong way" here.... We might point and laugh at you, but you're not "wrong".
