  1. Well that went faster than expected! We're running on the new server now.
  2. Hey folks! I wanted to let you know that the forums will closed on Thursday and most of Friday as we migrate the site to a brand new server. I apologize for the downtime, but it's the only way to ensure we don't lose any of your posts. During the outage, you may connect to everyone via our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/bassresource/ Note that our email system will be disabled at this time, so please do not try to send us any emails as we will not receive them. Thank you in advance for your patience during this time! Glenn
  3. Great tips from the master, Hank Parker!
  4. Looking into it
  5. Unfortunately, shortly after writing these, he got in a disagreement on another thread, then went on a tirade and attacked members, moderators, and the forum owners as well. He was banned as a result, to which he sent us an email with the message "I'm coming for you". So much for "respect", eh? We removed the public messages, as there's no need for that garbage on our site. Moving on....
  6. Don't be concerned about distance for now. Distance comes as you learn the proper casting technique, not before. Here's how:
  7. B.A.S.S. made a nice PR move with this new rule on information, but it means nothing unless they stop going to the same lakes/rivers over and over again. Classic example is the next Classic, where most of the competitors already have information about Hartwell that this new rule is supposed to ban, gleaned from several recent Classics held there. If they really want to "level the playing field", then pair this new rule with a schedule full of new locations, or at least places that they haven't held an event in the past 20 years.
  8. What, exactly, is the "no info" rule? Can you post it?
  9. Thanks guys! I really appreciate the feedback!
  10. Off camera he did.
  11. I disagree. I took what he said to mean he absolutely believes in them, but did NOT look at them when he was fishing tournaments because it was not in his control. He didn't want them to interfere with his mental game.
  12. Let's see what Hank says...
  13. Google them. There's a ton of negative reviews and bad experiences with them posted on various sites, and none that are positive. Do not order from them.
  14. This is exactly why I don't use leaders. Never have, never will. Too many problems, plus an additional failure point - the knot.
  15. Ok, so you're not even a bass angler. You just came here to bash Kastking. From the FAQ's And scene...
  16. I'm geared up and ready to go with Bandit crankbaits!
  17. Ben - Why waste your time bashing them for what you perceive as "deceptive", even though there's nothing wrong with the line? Either use it, or just ask them for a full refund and be done with it. Either way, you'll be happier than just griping about it on the Internet.
  18. Gary (Ghoti) made these beautiful rods for Keri and I! We absolutely love them. Great action, superb sensitivity, and quality craftmanship. The designs, handles, and threadwork are exactly what we wanted (note the Batson components). Awesome cork handled! Well done!
  19. Ok, how many of you have the tools, knowledge, and ability to measure micro-millimeter line sizes? Nope, me either. Did a quick search, and this is a copy-paste job of the same post on other sites. Looks suspect to me. First time poster and this is what he posts, with lots of allegations about "cheap" products with no proof? The line size was different than expected? That doesn't mean it's "cheap". There's nothing still that says the line is bad. Kastking stands by their products, and welcomes reviews, both good and bad. They don't ask people to remove bad comments, nor try to "bribe" them. That's just plain trash talk. Seems like this guy is just trying to troll. That said, I haven't personally used their line. But I do have the Assassin reel and I'm very impressed. I've used it all season long without any issues. I honestly didn't expect such a good reel for the price.
  20. My sincerest condolences friend.
  21. I'm using the Pad Crasher in this video...
  22. Welcome Home! We're glad you're here.
