Welcome Home! And yes, that's happened to all of us. That's why it's 'fishing' and not 'catching'.

Power Poles
Understood. It could get tricky if your installation doesn't go by-the-book, or if you need custom brackets, for example. But those are rare cases. The majority of installations can be accomplished in an hour or two without any hitches. Here's a video of how my installation went:

Power Poles
Headache? How? Installing them, or using them? Depends on what length you get. Mine are 8' poles, and I find they're effective to about 6 1/2' deep. Past that, it depends on the makeup of the bottom and whether or not they can get enough grip, and how much wind/current I'm in.

Best Fluorocarbon?
Gotta say, I've tried several flurocarbon lines, and Tatsu is top shelf! And now you can get a deal on it so you can try it yourself! http://bit.ly/1Tgwq61 http://bit.ly/1Tgwq61

Won't plane, Prop spins out on stratos 201 pro
If you've done the following: Tried different, new props (to rule out spun hubs) Tried different engine heights Verified trim gauge is working and accurate Verified trim is working the full range Verified there is no water in the power trim hydraulics (this would cause the motor to lose trim functionality). Then take it to a mechanic to Check the power trim unit. It may need replacing. Tear apart the lower unit. Something wasn't done right during the rebuild.

Is this pro fading?
If you can move product off the shelves, then you will get sponsored. Anything those guys push, quickly sells out. And anything KVD endorses, immediately flies of the shelves and into backorder nirvanna. There's a waiting list to sponsor Kevin.

Okuma Scott Martin Signature TCS Casting Rod
I have 2 TCS rods and really like them. They're extremely light and sensitive. Here's one of my reviews on a 7' model: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/okuma-tcs-rod.html JFrancho did a review on the model you're looking at: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/scott-martin-okuma-tcs.html Roadwarrior also did a review on the same rod: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/tournament-rod-reel-okuma.html

***
Nope, no list. But to clarify, an accidental trip in to *** territory doesn't automatically result in a ban. It's when people deliberately try to promote those brands that lands them into trouble. Same as always with any and all of our rules designed to eliminate spam on the forums. It's nothing different. It's just that some companies are slow to understand the "no spam" concept, hence the ***.

Struggling to learn to run a casting rod
Do me a favor. Remove about 50' of line from your reel, then re-rig it and try again. Just a hunch. If it improves, I'll tell you why.

I lost a part of me today.
Man that's rough. "Pets" are more like family. Loosing them hurts just as bad sometimes. We're here for ya.
