Drop Shot
- Washington Lakes
Tapps was wiped out with the drawdown last year. The fishing has been poor as a result. Lake Sawyer is a decent lake. Just don't venture on it between the hours of 11:00 - 3:00 on the weekends. That's when they lift the speed limit so all the water skiiers can stir up the lake. Parking is limited too, so your best bet is to get there early in the morning, or later in the afternoon.- Winner Announced: Win Tatsu Line!
Not many people have entered. Your chance of winning is pretty good!- Trolling Motors in Washington
You normally do not need to register a canoe or kayak in Washington State if you only use paddles (human powered). However, if you use a trolling motor, then you'll need a boat license if the canoe is over 16' long. You do not need a boater safety card if the HP is under 15hp.- Winner Announced: Win Tatsu Line!

Although it's recommended to do it in pairs, it's not against the law to switch on/off odd numbers.- Bass Follow Lures but Don't Bite
When I see bass do that, They're telling you something. They like it, but something isn't quite right. I first try changing my lure presentation (speed up, slow down, stop-n-go, something...). If that doesn't work, then I start changing colors. Usually one or the other is all it takes.- Got a new Boat ~
Outstanding! Congratulations!- Heaviest leader I can get away with for ned rig?
I use 6 lb fluoro, no leader. A knot is just another point of failure.- Videos on developing trolling motor skills
Turn the power down to 2 or 3. It's much easier to control at lower speeds. And also make sure your motor is all the way down into the locked position. I'm, also not a fan of electric steer pedals. I'm used to steering "by feel". I tell by the position of my foot, which way I'm going. With electric, you have no choice but take your eyes off of fishing, and look at your arrow every time you change direction. Very distracting. I know some people just love them. Great for them. It's just not for me.- Detecting Bites on weightless soft plastics...
This should help:- Power Poles 8 or 10ft
@dougie511 I have the 8' Blades and use them every time I go out, whether or not I'm flippin and pitchin. Seriously, I was surprised how much I use them. From stopping while retying, to holding the boat at the dock, to stopping asap for various reasons (like fish!), they're very useful. I've noticed my 8' poles are useful to about 6 1/2'. They'll work in deeper water, but it depends on bottom makeup and wind/current conditions on whether they'll hold or not. My boat performance really hasn't changed, other than my hole shot is a wee bit longer. Top end speed didn't change. I do have more backwash to consider when coming off plane, but I have the older-style brackets. The newer ones don't do that, I understand.- New to Bass fishing
