Dates, Location For 2016 Classic Announced!
To be frank, no. That will never happen. B.A.S.S. will host one token Elite event on the Delta, Havasu, or Mead each year, just so they can say they're "coast-to-coast", but they're otherwise heavy East coast with a few mid-west events sprinkled in. They have no desire to bring the Classic to the West coast.

Slug Go
^^ Yup ^^ Work them similar to a Senko, except you need to give it some action. So give it small, gentle tugs, pausing in between. Really it's a very subtle jerkbait. Just use the reel to twitch it, not the rod. Move it a few inches, let it settle down, and twitch it again. It will dart and dance, until they just can't stand it anymore. Then BOOM! I still have a bunch in the boat, and use them whenever I feel the bass are too accustomed to seeing Senkos.

Another Chance For A G. Loomis E 6 X
You know Tom, I honestly don't think that will make a difference. Many times it was mentioned the contest ends on Friday, winner announced Monday. Doubtful a date would make anything clearer. I will add it if we ever run another contest, but I won't keep my hopes up. If there's one thing I've learned with these contests, is that people don't read. Fact is, they dive straight into filling out the entry form and ignore everything else. But if they do read what's on the page, they get confused if it's not spelled out in explicit detail. For example, we state it's open to residents of the U.S. and its territories, yet I got a bunch of emails asking if that included Puerto Rico. Last I checked, Puerto Rico was a U.S. territory, no? NOW I know why "legaleeze" is SOOO long. LOL!

A Reminder
This is probably the #1 misunderstood "fact" about fish handling. Too many people are taking this little tidbit too far and taking it to extremes, claiming every fish has a broken jaw and is killed if they're not held horizontally. That simply isn't true. Otherwise every single fish that has ever been caught would be dead, unless somebody has figured out a way to horizontally lip a fish out of the water. The fact is, the larger fish, the greater the RISK of injuring their jaw when held at an angle. It is not a given, nor automatic that their jaw is instantly broken if they're held at an angle. But there's a potential. And if a fish is under 5lbs, it's not an issue. Simply put, there isn't enough weight on the smaller fish to put any stress on the jaw. You need leverage to put stress on that jaw. More weight = more leverage. And the greater the angle = the greater the leverage. It's simple physics. While it's ok to hold them at an angle if they're under 5 lbs (and even larger fish - briefly), I put the limit at about 3 lbs, just be safe. Holding a small fish at a slight angle won't hurt them. One other fact, holding them perfectly vertical will not cause any damage whatsoever, regardless of size. There's no leverage at play when you hold them that way. However there is a risk if they start wriggling and violently shake their body. The torque created increases the risk of damage. Again, the bigger the fish, the greater the risk. But again, it's not automatic. It's a potential. It's irresponsible of the TPW to state a fish will "almost always be killed" by holding them vertically. It simply isn't true, and causing a lot of confusion as a result. Here's a video with more information on it: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/hold-fish.html

Another Chance For A G. Loomis E 6 X
So the day the winner will be announced was mentioned in the emails, Facebook announcements, on this thread, and on the landing page. Please help me understand why you don't know what that day is, because I'm really baffled how it could be missed. Thanks! Glenn
