Old baits from the 80s and 90s
Yep, that's the one I was thinking about. I also have a couple of Dalton Specials. Regarding the Slug-Go, I'd purposefully T-Rig it weightless so that it has a "nose up" attitude. This makes the thing jump and dart erratically. Just a very light twitch of the rod, long pause, and another subtle jerk, long pau WHAM!!!

Question ?
So if it's probably been asked a thousand times, where might you find your answer? Could it be the Frequently Asked Questions? :

Old baits from the 80s and 90s
I still have a bunch of Slug-Go's, and catch fish on them to this day. Same thing with Zoom Centipedes. There were a lot of Slug-Go knockoffs back then. Other baits? Hmm...I have topwaters named "Woodchopper", "Nippee D", and "Devil's Horse". They are prop baits and work great! I don't know if they're still made anymore. I just remember getting them in the early '90s. I think Mann's made a soft plastic bait, the Ghost?, that looked like a dying fish. You twitched it on the surface, and it would slowly sink erratically. I really liked the Herb's Dilly and caught a ton of fish on them. Too bad they don't make them anymore. Poe's RC3 cedar crankbaits were awesome baits when they came out in the early '90s. Now they're plastic and just aren't the same thing. And I still enjoy fishing Normark Risto Raps and Rapala Husky Jerks. Both came out in the early '90s.

Here's your next fishing boat!?
This looks very, very dangerous to me. Can you imagine running balls-out in your boat only to have one of these things surface right in front of you? Somebody's going to die.

How are they normally done? In previous years, members were paired as to when they came in, which seems pretty random to me. :

Dropping temperatures
No, I do not live in a "warmer climate". In fact, we just had a winter storm blow through with overnight temps in the single digits. Daytime highs never broke 30. We're back to "normal" now, meaning daytime temps are in the low- to mid-40s. Water temps bottom out in the low 40s during the winter. And trust me, don't believe the "you gotta slow down in the winter" dock talk. We throw fast moving baits all the time. In fact, we darn near won a tournament early this year throwing spinnerbaits in 46 degree water (morning temps were in the upper 20's).

They bite year 'round. For that reason, I never "winterize" my boat. I just keep fishing! http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/seasonal-fishing-articles.html#winter

Question for the ladies.
Not a gift. That was something that needed to be repaired/replaced, regardless of the time of year.

Ok folks, our ability to hold rooms for the group has expired. This means we cannot guarantee you a room any more. Note that the rooms fill up very fast, so if you don't make reservations right now, you might wind up staying elsewhere as they could already be completely booked! I know for a fact this will happen to you procrastinators. So this is your notice. Don't come complaining when you try to book a room later and there is none. Fair warning.
