Boat storage help
I had the same problem when I had an aluminum boat - no dry storage. I learned the hard way about that little "feature". I solved it by buying the waterproof duffle bags BPS sells. I placed them in them in the storage compartments and put everything in those. Worked like a charm. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10205325____SearchResults

Anyone mounted an Oxygenator on Their Boat?
It's far more effective and cheaper to use a combination of ice, additives, and hydrogen peroxide. It's very easy to do. Here's some videos that show you how: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/fish-care-in-the-livewell.html http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/bass-fishing-hydrogen-peroxide.html

I wish it were something as simple as a browser issue, as those are far more easier to diagnose and repair. Unfortunately, brower issues were ruled out long ago.

I got to step 5 but no files were sent. Not sure if that's good or bad... That means it's a bad router somewhere. Send it to me, because that will help my host provider determine which router is causing the problem.

Ok folks, help me figure out what's going on. Please do the following: 1. Go to http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/winmtr_bin.zip 2. Choose to Open the file when prompted. (The Zip utility on your computer should open the zip file and show the contents.) 3. Extract the file contents to a folder on your computer. To perform a traceroute using WinMTR: 1. Locate the file where you extracted the zip file. 2. Click the "WinMTR.exe" file. (The WinMTR window opens.) 3. Enter bassresource.com in the Host field. 4. Click "Start". WinMTR begins sending packets to the IP address. 5. When the "Sent" number reaches 50 click "Stop". 6. Finally, copy from the clipboard and send a paste of this report to me via PM. Thanks!!

Sorry to hear about the problems you're having guys. I'm a bit puzzled by it simply because I've spent the better part of 2 months optimizing the site and server to run faster and faster. So I am a bit perplexed. I can tell you one thing: it has nothing to do with how many members we have on at any given time, nor the volume of pages (or BS lol!). Since it's intermittent, it makes the problem very difficult to solve. That said, I'm beginning to wonder if there's an issue at my host provider instead of the site or server, since I've done everything I can to make those faster. I'll keep looking into this and see if my host provider has any answers. Glenn

Liability Insurance???
You don't need to be incorporated to buy club insurance. But it would be handy (for a variety of reasons) to file a 501c non-profit application. It's easy and cheap to do.

KVD line & lure
For the first use, apply it and let it dry fully. This is usually accomplished by applying it at least the night before, if not earlier. After that, you can spray it on while fishing.

Welcome Ladies! Introduce yourself!
I want to personally welcome all the women who are here to check out this forum. More and more women turn to bass fishing every year as a form of relaxation, family time, and even competition. I've long welcomed this trend, and opened our Women's Fishing Section years ago in an effort to help grow this burgeoning share of the bass fishing community. With the LBAA and growth of the WBT, and the world witnessing the first woman in the Bassmaster Classic, I felt we were well on our way. Then the WBT abruptly ended with no warning, and little explanation. From the ashes of the WBT come great learnings. While the pundits ponder why it failed, and pointed fingers at those that closed the trail, I took a different route and looked at what I could do differently to help encourage more women to participate in the wonderful sport of bass fishing. I'm fortunate to be married to a former WBT participant. Through her eyes, and through the numerous conversations she's had with other female pros, I soon learned there really is no place where women can collaborate, meet new friends, help each other find partners to share lodging at tournaments, find travel partners, and much, much more. Missing too was a central location where women can promote the sport and help new lady anglers get involved. In short, there just wasn't a central locations where all women interested in bass fishing could meet and learn from other like-minded women. Until now... I'm pleased to offer these forums as a place where women can meet, greet, collaborate, learn, and make new friends in the bass fishing community! If you're just starting out or are a seasoned pro, we welcome you all!! Introduce yourself below!
