  1. Senior, Junior, newbie, etc. member. It's in the FAQ's.
  2. I prefer jigs tipped with some sort of plastic craw, tubes, and brush hawgs. Your standard 6" worm works well in timber too.
  3. To be sure, the decision to move a post is a subjective one. And posts with multiple possibilities indeed have multiple choices. That said, the illusion that a post will been seen more in the 'General' section, and therefore answered, is a myth. More often than not, those posts move onto the 2nd page very quickly, never to be seen again.... often well before the day is over. Meaning many people never even see it - people who could answer your post. Moving it to a more relevant section is in your best interest. That's what we try to do. We're not trying penalize you, we're trying to help you. Hope that makes sense.

  5. 26 seconds between first and 10th place?! Boooooring!! YAAAAAAAWN!!! Man! They gotta do something about those 1 1/2 mile tracks. They're just not worth watching. Maybe they should make them all restrictor plate racing or something.
  6. Hello, Just wondering who I might bump into while I'm there. For those who don't know what ICAST is, it's an industry trade show for manufacturers, wholesalers, and media where the fishing companies debut their new products for next year. Every major fishing brand, along with newer, smaller companies is represented there, along with every major retail outlet and media enterprise. It's quite the show. THIS IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Sorry. If you're there, you're there on business. That said, I know a number of people here will be there. Sound off! Maybe we can all get together for dinner Weds. or Thurs night.
  7. The Mods and I wanted to help each of the members, new and old, get to know us better. We don't want to only be viewed as the cops of the forums because that's not how we feel. We will always be members first and Mods when we have to be. So we asked the members to ask us questions. We received a terrific response. Following are the answers to those questions. Thanks for your help and thanks for being members of the best bass fishing forum.
  8. Skeeter - it sounds like you had a problem with the transducer. I had the exact same problem with an older Lowrance unit. Replaced the transducer and everything work fine after that.
  9. I'm not sure if she's seen this yet, so I e-mailed her just to be sure. Congratulations!

  13. Did you just compare me to WalMart? You didn't just do that, did you?
  14. The way it works, is that the "moved" notification stays up if the member who made the original post has 10 or less posts under his belt. This is to help them learn where they should have posted. If they have more than 10 posts, then they know the lay of the land by then, so the "moved" notification is deleted. Hope that helps!

We're getting a heat pump installed next week.
  22. Ummmm.... is it possible you put the oil in the transmission filler tube by mistake? Not trying to be a smart alek - it happens. Also, it's possible the manual is saying 6 qts for the engine, not including the filter, which usually holds about a quart. That might be why the mechanic said 7qts. What year is your truck? The newer it is, the less vacuum lines to worry about. Nonetheless, they look like small hoses. Make sure there are no loose ones. Sqeeze them to see if they flex. and that they all feel the same. I'm just guessing, but if you put too much oil in the engine, it's possible one of the vacuum lines has oil in it. If these are not the issue, then start over. Drain the oil and put in 6 quarts and see what happens.
