This year has been all messed up so far.. You got striper schoolies already getting caught down at plum island. Haven't caught a single bass yet though lol

Been down in central Florida since Tuesday night. Definitely not used to this weather and fishing. Only managed one bass and lost one. Our plane leaves for MA at 5:30 so were doing one last hoorah in a canal and hopefully get that pig!! Are the lady's on the beds yet?

Somemore fresh rainbows

Got a few hours in today not much luck. Got a pickerel on a jerkbait and seen the first signs of life moving to the shallows small bass / pickerel / bluegill so that's good. As I was getting ready to go I was tossing a blue senko out. Had one hand in my pocket the other on my rod and of course I got that unsuspecting tug!! Went to set the hook and it just slipped out of her mouth without ease but I did feel the weight for a quick second and she was a decent fish. Guess my first bass of open water will have to wait another day.. Ohh and that d**n wind once again.

When do you guys think the bass will start bedding up? This time last year I was killing it!

They did an episode on river monsters to. As for striper bait.. I don't see why not.. Only difference between an eel and this thing is the ugly ass mug. I couldn't imagine catching a 2 footer.

This is a Lamprey and it was attached to the belly of one of the trout like a suction cup. Never seen one in person before absolutely disgusting. Google it so u can see the mouth on these things.

Went to wenham today for trout, Never fished there before but heard they stocked yesterday. Showed up and noticed everyone covering the ramp and beach. So i walked the trail a little bit until i was on the opposite side of them. Caught 4 nice rainbows while no one else caught anything. It pays to leave the crowed!

It is, was with my buddie. I gave him my catches.

So I finally got to spend some serious time out on the water today with a good buddy of mine. We went for the freshly stocked trout.. Why not huh? Well we pull up to the first lake in Boxford and there was a guy there who simply said good luck.. We asked if anyone was catching anything and quickly he jumped into a story. Apparently he was there when they stocked on Friday am and the guy handling the fish was very bad at it.. Dropping them into 2-3 inches of water banging off rocks etc.. A lot of them were floating on their backs. One of the guys witnessing recordered video of it. It really enrages me that happened. So with that major f up all the trout I am assuming are really stressed at the moment. We tried 2 other stocked lakes today as well and same deal nobody was catching anything.

They updated the trout stocking list earlier today. Didn't see Ipswich on there.

Fished for about 5 hours yesterday. Through everything I had at them with no luck. Was windy as a wretched yesterday to. I hate wind.. I rather fish pouring rain to be honest.

Mid April to early May last year we were crushing bass on those powerbait swimbaits in firetiger. Just worked them really slow across the bottom. All along the shorelines.

Congrats Rob Drove around today in Haverhill and one of the ponds is frozen except for the edges. Good thing is it looks like ITE only a coating of ice doesn't look thick at all. Another real small pond in the area is half defrosted and more than enough room to cast. So I am hoping this will be the week I nab my first of 2015!

Got some stuff on its way from basspro but i just got word a local lake is finally ice free! Does wal mart have anything decent that works good for a jig trailer??

I am heading down there the week of May 11th was looking for some decent spots in the area to fish from shore. The map shows a lot of lakes / ponds right in the area but i figured id ask and see if we can narrow it down. Thanks

All open with no floating glaciers on the Merrimack here in Haverhill. No luck but my goal was to just out my new rod and i am very satisfied with my first st. croix purchase. Just need to feel what its like to have a fsh on with it

I forgot to post this a few weeks ago thought it was pretty d**n cool. Me and my buddy caught this jumbo perch on a trap. Ever wondered why they get so fat!?! That's 2 bass, 3 pickerel and 2 Sunny's in that guys gut lol.
