  1. I think I am gonna head down to the Merrimack tomorrow for a bit and try out my St. Croix. While I am playing with that I'll set up a rod for carp. If I run into floating glaciers I am in trouble lol. I just need to get out there!
  2. This was posted on MVBA and of course they didn't give away the location. But its in eastern ma. Its the smaller pond of the two. Also the Merrimack is really starting to open up. Hopefully this weekend rain helps.
  3. By the way I am an idiot lol.. I didn't notice the one in the box that clearly says MattsLures.
  4. So i am assuming they work well? Haven't bought any of his yet.
  5. Very nice are any of those from MattLures ?
  6. I'm so ready myself.. Been buying swimbaits up the ying lol.. $20 here $20 there. Bought my first St. Croix rod and its just hanging on the wall begging to be laced up!
  7. Swimbaits and Spinnerbaits & Senkos mostly for me. The bottom is mostly soft.. The shoreline is weedy. And yes there is smallmouth I witnessed a few pulled out.. Not sure how many are in there though.
  8. I fish mostly ponds out of haverhill and boxford. Stiles Pond, Hoveys Pond.. Lake Cochichewick all year round has some absolute monster bass! That's located in North Andover.
  9. Couple more pigs off the jig!
  10. Not a bad day out on the ice. I never jigged before and i landed 2 bass rather quick. The tipups wernt to active today 6-7 jumbo perch and 1 pickerel. I have to say i am officially addicted to using a flasher and jigging. Tons of fun.
  11. In boxford, stiles pond its called.
  12. Hey Guys Well alot of the lakes/ponds around here are still only half frozen. There is a big lake down the street that's frozen 4 inches thick. We went out twice already first day was junk but we started late. Wednesday we went out and set up 10 tipups and landed 5 pickerel. We don't know much about this lake at all. Looking forward to next week everything should be frozen.
  13. This year will be my first time ice fishing. My buddy has all the equipment so will be going.. If we ever get any ice lol..
  14. $200 bass pro card was my highlight today! Merry Christmas!!
  15. What towns have ice up in NH ??
  16. I'm in haverhill right on the border of NH so the hooksett one is prob like 25 mins or so. Haven't heard anything about cabelas
  17. I took this the other day when i was there, Its true what they say about structure! lol.. you can see a few by the tree hanging out but there was a lot more!
  18. I been stocking up on "important material" been grabbing lures when I can.. Plan on grabbing a swimbait rod after the holidays I wanna chuck some big baits this coming year. Oh yeah anyone check out the bass pro in Hooksett NH? Place is amazing.. I asked for gift cards to that place.. Could easily spend a G in there And still want stuff when I leave
  19. I think i am gonna go with this one right here http://www.tackledirect.com/okuma-cc-s-701h-cedros-coastal-spinning-rod.html
  20. ^haha well the trout fishing for us today sucked, gorgeous weather though!
  21. I noticed haha, But i appreciate all the info and replies i sent an e-mail to tackle warehouse and they sent me links to 5 rods all over $300 =x
  22. So i just went through my swimbaits and their not big at all the biggest is 1.3oz (6" bait) and the smallest was 2/5oz. The rods i have now when i used them over the summer my rod would just bend like i had a fish on so that's obviously no good for these lol. for a spinning rod what should i be looking at?
  23. Havent fished in over a month, A buddy of mine i started seeing again has all the equipment for ice fishing so i am definitely looking forward to that. He says he usually has alot of luck setting up tipups and then using his flasher to jig a hole. I guess your always doing something whether your running to the flag to pull up perch and bass or resetting baits and jigging the holes. Pretty pumped.
  24. That's a nice looking rod, Been reading up on it What would be a nice spining reel for that? I don't use baitcasters
  25. ^ok thanks honestly never put that into
