Well i am upgrading my rods this winter and putting my wal mart specials in the closet for last resort. So i wanna grab all new rods, Like do i want a med/heavy?? to throw them

Well the biggest swimbait i have is 6.5" inches and weighs 1.3 oz (sinks) triple jointed with 2 treble hooks For swimbaits i usually throw the same model.

What size rod should I be using to throw bigger sized swimbaits?

I'm heading up to maine next week for 3-4 days for work and apparently the owners house i will be staying at lives right on Moosehead Lake. I've done a little bit of research (of course) because you know when i am off the clock ill be fishing his backyard! What would i have the most luck targeting from shore? MEFishFinder says there is no bass which seems odd since its the biggest lake in Maine. What about wild trout?

Haven't been out on the boat so i just been trout fishing from the shore with powerbait. Been catching my quota everynight except for yesterday.. That warm weather really had them moving around. This guy next to me caught a 4lb 10oz bass off power eggs.. Don't think he was expecting that

In the fall everything will be stocked by Columbus Day. They stocked the lakes & ponds by me this week. If you call this # (978) 772-2145 right now the answer machine will give you a list of the places they stocked. They update the list every friday after 4PM.

Went out yesterday in the wind and rain, water was freezing. Managed to get 4 trout off spoons & rooster tails.

What's a successful way to keep a live bluegill close to the bottom? I hardly ever use live but tomorrow were targeting bottom feeders. We went today for a bit searching the deep pockets of a lake in town and threw some blue gill over board.. and we realised real fast that they like to hang out right at the top.. Maybe because they know what the hell their doing and they know whats lurking beneath

H speedratser i see your from farmington. My family owns a trailer on Baxter Lake.. Never got a chance to ever take a boat out on it but the shore fishing was always amazing.

Is the topwater bite good during the fall?

A fiend of mine was with me and she had her iphone with her so she snapped a few photos for me. I usually upload to postimg.org and i take the URL and post it here. As for the lure, its kinda funny.. My buddy was cleaning out his trunk and found a big 6" rapala firetiger. He had no idea whos it was and just gave it to me. I was using everything with no luck so i gave it a try, first cast i got a pickerel 3rd cast by a downed tree i got that girl. Alot of people like to hate this little pond but i know it holds lunkers. There is a pipe that connects the two to a resevoir which is illegal to fish that really holds some PIGS! believe me i snuck in a few times! Nice small mouth as well.

any of you Southern NH & MA residents know where me and my buddie would have the best luck catching a nice pike? I heard the Merrimack River has some but our boat can't handle it. Also Lake Cochichewick in North Andover apparently has some.. But haven't heard much. Any help would be great!

Well i think i found the problem with my frog fishing, We had one awesome day last week then the rest has been a lot of top water blowups with nothing to show for it. I thought maybe it was the hooks we been using which were eagle claw 2/0 weedless hooks. So i ordered a pack of Zoom Toad Hooks 5/0 and their a lot bigger. Apparently this is the common size to use when using plastic frogs. Anxious to try these out! I'm done losing fish (hope so)

Drove around with the phone & gps on and found a decent size pond that didn't have a name. Safe to say found a new spot. 20-30 missed hits off the top water frog. Only caught a couple pickerel. if i didn't catch those pickerel i still would of been happy with all those topwater blowups. I gotta try it at night real soon!
