Today is the first day the Boat has ever been in water and as soon as I deployed the Trolling Motor, it won't stay down because it isn't locking in. Has anyone ever had this problem? After we fix this, I'll bring my Lowrance HDS issues to you.

That's a good technique you have there Zip - Do you do well with that Technique?

With the new iPilot being able to record 6 Tracks now instead of 3, it could really help out during Tournaments. Basically Record all of the spots you want to fish on Tourney Day during your Practice day. Then on Tournament day hit those Way points and click, Start to End or End to Start.

Prior to a Tournament, how many pre-planned spots do you have laid out that you're going to or plan to fish? Thanks

I also haven't caught anything on the Rig but I'm not foolish enough to discount it yet. I KNOW there is a time and place for every lure out there. I've just not been at the right place at the right time yet. That day is coming though and I can't wait! Each year down here in West Point and Eufaula the Bass will School the Shad and explode the top of the water. Usually they explode just out of range for you to toss a lure. I can toss that A-Rig a country Mile! I can't wait to start tossing it in the middle of the Explosion. It's coming soon, and I can't wait!

I bought two of them the same day I posted that I wanted one now, lol. I took one of them and used a Willow Leaf off an old Spinnerbait I had and made it just like the photo. I didn't catch anything on it but, I didn't catch one fish all day so I'm not judging. I know for a fact that lure is going to catch fish for me. Did anyone see where KVD used it during the Major League Fishing tournament?

Don't fish with them, save them, because in 2 years you're going to look back at them and be able to see how far you've come. If you fish with em, you'll end up losing them and you'll never have that point of judgement. I've got my first Jig, and OMG! Believe me, your first Jig is a HELL Of a lot better than my first Jig, hehe.

Went to Dicks after work today, they've got their fishing sale going on atm. All Rapala Lures were 20% off and the KVD 1.5.s were buy one get the other 50% off. So I walked out with some XRaps and some new 1.5's in Bluegill color.

I pick up my new Boat next Saturday and I had it decked out with all the latest and greatest Lowrance stuff, with the Structure Scan package. I think this board could use a place where we could discuss these units, post screen shots of what we see and discuss how to use them. So, Mods, help me out, let's add this jewel to the Boards! hehe Thanks

3 Weeks ago I decided it was time to create a Creature Bait box for my Already oversized Tackle Box. So, I ordered about $70.00 worth of Sweet Beavers, Kinky Beavers and those shaky worms they sell in all sorts of different colors. I then made some Jika Rigs using a 1/4oz Bell Sinker and some Trokar Hooks. Went to Lake Eufaula on probably the worst day I've fished there in 20 years, weather was terrible and didn't get a bite for over an hour. So I picked up my Jig Rod, riggged with above mentioned set up. Had a Sprayed Grass Sweet Beaver hooked up. First Cast and caught a Bass. I've been hooked on em ever since.

Last Sunday was the windiest day I've ever fished in my life. The River was literally flowing the opposite direction and white capping. I'll still use these tips though. Baits heavier than the Head, Feather the Line, Cast Sideways.

Ok, will do. I am using a Spinning Reel so I don't have a way of Feathering the Spool on Entry like a Baitcaster. I'll do my best though. Heading up to fish the Tennessee River this weekend so I need to get me one of those 3 Wire Jobs before I hit the waters.

Fished with the A-Rig for the first time last weekend and didn't catch any fish on it, but the conditions were rough to say the least. My problem I was having though was when I cast the A-Rig out it seemed like 8 times out of 10 when I got it back to the boat the Fishing line was routed under the Wire Leg of the Rig. What am I doing wrong?

I can't begin to tell you everything I've purchased thus far. Let's put it this way, I had to get rid of my Tackle box and I purchased a Luggage Bag that you roll and I was able to fit 14 Plano Boxes in! I replaced every Rod that I owned and Next week I should be picking up my Z7 Nitro!

The Weed guard is just like the Head of the Jig, It matters not what color it is. You can catch just as many Fish with a Junebug Jig with an Unpainted Head than you can with a Junebug Jig and a $100.00 Paint job on the head. Just as Jig man said, it matters a lot more to the Fisherman than it does to the Fish.

Well, the report goes as follows for my trip yesterday. The weather was terrible, Sunny, Cold and winds about 30 MPH. The water was literally going the opposite direction in the river and it's been a long long time since I've seen the River White Capping the opposite direction. After an hour or so of nothing I decided it was time to try the Jika Rig with a Sweet Beaver attached. First cast and I caught a Fish. I was astounded at that, but also thought it had to of been luck. Turns out it must have been luck because I didn't catch another one the rest of the day, lol. Anyway, I am definitely happy with them and will only use them when I use my Creature baits and Tube Baits. Sorry I didn't have a better report for you but it is what it is I reckon

I'm actually heading out the door to Lake Eufaula and the Fishing report I've been given is Jigs and bottom rigs are catching good fish around the shorelines. I made up 5 of these Rigs with Trokar hooks last week and I'm planning on using them with Sweet Beavers. I'll let ya know how well I did when I get home this afternoon.

Yes it will work, I've already done it. I made Jika Rigs for my Creature baits and then for my Tubes I make a small insert in the top of the tube and insert my Egg Sinker into the head and then TR the hook weedless.
