  1. YEA RIGHT!!! Then why do you keep buying them, if you have so much trouble. What does every defective Rapala wind up in your tackle bag? Geezzz, gimme a break.
  2. DID YOU USE THE PINON GEAR PICK UP LINE AGAIN? ISN'T THAT HOW YOU MET THE BEAST

Absolutley, only direct tie with these applications.
  4. So when you say breaking on rock, are you talking about casting it up on some rocks on the bank or cranking it into rocks? i emailed rapala not long ago about busting the lips off their cranks and got this back: Thank you for your email and letting us know about your experiences with our lures. Rapala can make an indestructible lure that will never break but it will not have the action and unique construction that provides such great productivity. As you know, many factors cause lures to become damaged. Rocks, Weeds, certain Fishing Techniques, miss use, Line strength, drag, and bottom structures are some factors that cause lures to weaken or become damaged. Time and time again, when we test and study lures that have broken, the results show that some hindering factor had caused the lure to weaken. If you think your lure was defective and not damaged by other means as listed above, then here are some options for you to pick from: 1. Take the lure back to the store where you purchased it for refund or replacement. 2. Send the lure to us for replacement. ive quit buying Rapala baits all together. Thats why your name is Skunked Again and Mine's not
  5. I am only thinking not only illegal but not too safe fishing lets say standing on part of the dam. They have some nice size limbs and stuff taht you could stand on to cast in, thats what my concern is. Do they still trap beavers in our state?
  6. Time for SKIN O MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I Fish mostly DT's when I am cranking which for me means slaming them into shrunken rock piles. Since the first year I have yet to brek one this way. I did break one by getting it wrapped into the trolling motor, but not on the water.
  8. Thank you all. We have since found it it lays on both private and public land, you can only go so close to the dam itself( we have to find out on this one) it is 4 years old and there are trout in it.
  9. There is no cause here, I am bustin you know whose chops thats all. I am not sponsored or make out in any way by steering any one a particular way. I use what I use and I ain't gonna convince anyone, or make out if I do to change Just messing with the sheriff, I do not need any sympathy cards Thank You ;D

I use Cabelas Sure Lock Snaps, no issues and for a guy with neuropathy in my fingers they are a God Send Snap Swivels were said to mess up the action of lures, so being curious this is what we found last year using Snap Swivels with these lures( note plain snap had no effect on these lures) Original Floating Rapala: Killed the wobble, made them nose heavy DT's :Made the Wobble tighter and nay thing over 6 ft of water they ran profoundly to the left ( using bait casting equipment) and on a lot of fast retrieves wanted to roll over onto their side Bomber 8 A's Rolled onto their side on deep or rapid retrieves Norman Cranks (dd22') Messed up to a tighter wobble and did actually turn onto their side That was enough for me ; My Experience: Plain Locking snap: good way to go Snap Swivel: not good in these applications
  11. BOY IT PAYS TO BE THE MODERATOR AND THE SHERIFF AROUND HERE How many threads do you think start out with I am thinking about an ABU or A Flooger and want to make a choice and then there are at least a half a dozen SheMano Steering posts on that thread, but they get to stay :-? :

  18. We are going back next week, it is on a border line between state game lands and a farm, we will ask the farmer . We never go in that way, but the lot was too full of snow and ice so we went in the back way. I do not even know how old it is, it comes off a dammed in stream, that holds trout. but I do not know if after stocking do they survive.
  19. Welcome home glad youre safe
  20. Hey Fellas; I went hiking today ( ought to have my head examined) we went back to check out a few ponds we fished and noticed a new pond and A BEAVER DAM! The pond is prety sizable. will a beaver pond hold fish/ Is it leagal to fish them?
  21. . I STATED that THIS IS NOT TO TRASH EXPENSIVE BAITS ! What this is about is I asked another member about powder painting my own jig heads, to fend off some of this cabin fever, and he suggested buying an air brush and repainting some of my plugs. I was looking to see what some of the experienced members thought about such detail, because I am no one for arts and crafts, and not one to paint a bait for the beauty of it. I am a functional type of guy You want a change from the norm, I will give you one I was fishing a lake where Bomber 8A's in crawfish were hot. Every boat I saw was throwing them I went to a Rapala DT, in crawfish and I keep an exacto knife in my crank box. I whittled away part of the lip and slighly threw the eye out of a true strait tune.Result; Fatter profile, different wobble; I cleaned up. To those that responded to my question, Thank You. I will not be getting an air brush. I throw jigs a lot more than plugs and was looking for some experience and knowledge, Thank you giving both so freely Dominick
  22. Hey Fellas; How important to the bass, rather than the fisherman is the detail in painting lures? I am especially interested in you fellas that have used a broad range of plugs, through out the years, and have seen the technology change so much, not to bash expensive lures.
  23. If I am at the Trolling motor, a little bit of both
