  8. That's pretty cool Catt, as I see the same thing here in my logs for PA,NY and NJ. At this time of the year the various spawn stages and the aggressiveness of the bite are dependant on the last 3 to 4 days water temps. rising or stable and over 52 brings the best bites I have also seen nests being fanned then the temp drops and this activity drops. I have also seen early spawners come completely off the spawning area in early spring with a 5 degree drop in water temp from 52 to 47, happened last year. This happened in late April, last artic blast and over a 3 day period. It took the better part of 8 to 9 days later for the lake to recoup and reheat! Also at this time of the year the negative effect of a cold front lowering water temps has a more profound effect on turning the bite off. As we get deeper into the spring and into the early summer, with consistent rising temps it is possible to have LMB in all 3 stages of the spawn, depending on where you are at on the lake.

  16. Your rods are works of art, I wouldnt put them in the same category of any mass produced rod, no matter if they are considered the standard That rod you built for Russ is beautiful.

Hey I love thew Cardinals and the Cubbies but I am only a Met's Fan true and true. I was going to make my first ever team switch away from St.Jhon's. couldnt do it. I could never root for the cards wearing a Met's Cap. Heck the Yankees play 11.6 miles from the Mets and it would be a cold day in you know where for me to root for them, no matter how much betteer the are than the Mets on a given year. I find it strange and unusual that a fella with another teams logo in thier Avatar would be rooting so hard for a team that could put your school to rest come the Middle to end of March

  22. Great observation Matt, their market has diminished greatly. I will bet they took a big hit also in the short note and Post Card dept with Email being faster and cheaper. As the suits like to say they need to "REINIVNET THEMSELVES"
  23. This is what happens when you leave the foxes to watch the chickens. This is what happens when we practice a totally free market and expect the rich to act properly This is what some of us wrote was about to happen in a thread last year, and guess what the general consensus was we were acting like chicken little announcing the sky is falling It was right in front of everyone's noses and From Enron to the Sub prime mess, those rich guardian angels were really not so angelic Bottom Line: these rich and powerful folk can not be trusted to do the right thing
  24. I loved every Fenwick I ever owned. I just switched out to all Cabelas Fish Eagle II's becuse I just love them. However I never had any problems with any Fenwick I ever owned, which included: Ventura Eagle GT HMX Technia AV
