  1. Where is the best place to buy it on-line? BP does not seem to carry the ultra soft, at least it is not listed on the web site. Thanks,
  2. x2, and what color does everyone suggest? Mainly stained ponds and lakes. Thanks,
  3. How is this line for top water? I have heard a lot of guys use mono for top water, because of its ability to float. I also presume since Yo Zuri comes in clear it is an excellent choice for clear water? How is it for spinners, crank baits and plastics? Looking for a great all around line, besides braid. Thanks,
  4. I have Power Pro braid on my BC 50lbs(12lbs equivalent)and I can cast it a long long long ways with no backlash at all. I am using a Shimano Citica 201D with a BPS Rick Clunn 6' 6" MH/F rod. Love this stuff. It will get lures back from being stuck where mono would just snap. But on the subject what does everyone prefer for mono(brand) and for fluorocarbon(brand)? Later,
  5. SHIMANO, the Citica 200E will be worth it. Later,
  6. Thanks great info. Later,
  7. You will love Line & Lure and actually you get 2 ounces more Reel Magic (50%) for $1.00 less but you end up using 3 times as much. Make sure when you do your comparison that you don't try L&L over Reel Magic. The oil in RM will not let the polymers in L&L to attach to the line properly and you will not get the full benefits that the product offers. Read the other threads on the forum for application details or check out www.lineandlure.com for all the info on Line & Lure. Thanks for the advice. Picking up some tonight to try out. Later,
  8. Thanks for the input. I have also seen where they recommend high speed spinning reels for plastics. What is a high speed gear ratio for spinning. I know that 6.3:1 is a high speed bc and 7.0:1 is a burner, just not seen any ratios near that in a s pinning reel. Thanks,
  9. Ok, so it sounds like it is all preference when comparing spinning to bait casting. So know comes the time that I ask, what is a good rod in spinning or bait casting that is around $120. Can't afford the really expensive rods. Looking for 7' M/F Thanks for all the help,
  10. I have heard good things about the KVD and Reel magic. I use Reel Magic at the moment because you get twice the amount and it is cheaper then the KVD by about a $1.00 It seems to work really well, I am going to try the KVD as well juts to get a comparison. Later,
  11. I have seen and read a lot about this and am curious to everyone's opinion. Spinning reel or BC for fishing plastics? What gear ratio? What rod size, power and action? Thanks,
  12. How are the Code reels, compared to the Tour Edition and to the KVD edition? Looking for another BC. Really not wanting to spend over a $100 for another reel. Thanks,
  13. Strike Kings Premiere and War Eagle Later,
  14. I use Power Pro 30lbs and it is great. Later,
  15. So a 7' medium action rod would be really good for using drop shot? Thanks,
  16. What place around Kansas City do people fish? I have been to Blue Springs Lake and Lake Jacomo and not caught a single thing. There has to be some place close to here besides places over in Kansas. Thanks,
  17. Do a search and there is several thread on this already. Power Pro Types of knots for braided line But the ones I use are the palomar and double unit knot. Later,
  18. What shaky head jig are you using? heading to Bass Pro in a bit to pick some up. Later,
  19. A beginner. Read last night when using plastics some times you need to really slow down your presentation and when you think you are going slow enough slow down some more. Sometimes letting the worm sit on the bottom for 3-4 minutes or as long as you can possibly stand it.lol Does this sound correct for when the fish are being inactive? Thanks,
  20. I tried darker colors t-rigged yesterday with no luck yesterday out at our pond and a friend was using a light colored orange worm wacky style and having great success. Go figure, just my luck yesterday.lol Thanks for the tips,
  21. What is the purpose of the 1" nail in the tail. Thanks,
  22. Yesterday was my first full outing using Power-Pro Braided line. I am using 50lbs on my bait caster and 30lbs on my spinning reel. I was basically using 5" trick sticks yesterday in every color and not having any luck. But I don't blame the line for this just my presentation. Should have been fishing it slower. Did develop a nice green spot on my thumb from my bait caster though.lol Later,
  23. What is the best shaky head jig to use. There are several different ones out there. I usually use the T-Rig weightless and weedless. But I am going to try the wacky and shaky head methods. Later,
  24. I use the tape included with Power Pro. I have had no issues with this method. Later,
  25. Was it breaking or just coming untied? For braid I use either the double uni knot or the palomar knot, exclusively. Later,
