  1. We gonna have another bassresource team this year? Its starting!
  2. WHAT? you mean yawl ain't never drank em perty before? Works every time!
  3. I hope none of you like the Big Foot ! Especially if we are ever in the same tournament!
  4. I know you can't see it in the picture, but everything's the same but the blade. On the frog it runs flat, or horizontal to the head, not vertical like the chatterbait. Haven't used it yet, but it looks like the blade would cause it to hop on top. My sponsor gave them to me to try, said they'de be same cost as chatterbaits. Wants to know if their worth stocking. What do you think?
  5. Had some now for 2 years...fuzz wears off eventually, then then there the same as the regular fuji.
  6. You might have an idea there cart...only thing different is the blade is horizontal not vertical like the swimmer one....I guess that makes it stay on top.
  7. Same as Chris !
  8. 2006 DuraMax HD2500 and a 2005 Triton TR19XDC
  9. Here you go, sorry about the quality of the photo.
  10. Just picked up a couple chatterfrogs. Anyone got to use these yet? If so...what do you think?
  11. The field is not set yet because you got the Federation championship and the Series championship to go. Thats 7 spots left, out of 50.
  12. Hey Road ! You startin a thread on dying fish too? ;D Anyway back to the original thought ! Cracker, good job! I know you did all you could do, to get the highest place... but you might want to checkout the new rules in the Series...Theres no divisional this year. Or I guess I mean Regional. Everybody will fish your divisional championship, thats fished at least 2 tournaments. Good Luck!
  13. Guys, its this simple.... at that level or some lesser level, there comes a time when everyone on that particular tour looks for an edge against his competion. Be it technology, intelligence, equippment. Why would anyone put themselves at such a disadvantage ? Why so much time given to Rods & Reels? Why don't we all just use cane poles? If you don't think there is a difference between a duck boat and a bass boat, then you ain't been there yet!
  14. Freedomfisher, The best way I know of to blow headlong into the Big Leagues, if thats what you want to do, is to put up 200 bucks and see how you do on the BASS Weekend Series Tournament close to you. The worst thing can happen is that you screw some unlucky co-angler that draws you! Best thing that could happen... If you're as good as you think you are, maybe you will end up in the Classic! Give it a shot ! (Edited for some of the suggestions you made, including spelling, punctuation and grammer). -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  15. Lived in Texas for 3 yrs . Kingsville, Tx. Stationed in the Navy there. Will be glad to see it again on my way back from Amistad. Got one in Texoma also. Maybe you can make it. Plus plan on going down to Fork...got two amigos I fished with last season from there, they guide on Fork...Jason Welsh and Dave Parsons. If you ever want to fish Lake Fork look them up!
  16. Hey 17, what state you in ? Some states don't need titles...only purchase origins or bill's of sale! Some states title the boat, and motor, but not trailer. My best advise is to ask what you need for license plates at your local BMV. Also take the previous owner to the bank with you!
  17. Looked for a pic of Stoney's boat, but couldn't find one. Sorry! So many stories to tell about that tournament, wouldn't know where to start. It was a major last year ...The Memorial... I was an observer. Got to watch Chad flip under boat docks and trees ... bait caster...and he skipped jigs I swear 50' to the back of them!!! NEVER backlashed! Wonder who he learned that from? Theres just so much your emagination lets you by with, until you actually see it. Timmy's wife and kids ate with my wife and I, at the dinner. Didn't know it though until he sat down, great guy! Jason Q. actually lost a fan during the tournament, but Jeff Reynolds gained one! Jeff's a great stick, and will eventually learn to put himself first! I don't know anyone who doesn't like him! If you want to learn, and experience what the Elite's all about, for the money, it whops the pooh out of BASS University!! Plus one of the fifty observers takes a $40K rig home with him. I didn't win it. Last year was my step back and learn year. I had never been a CO. before last year, always in the front of my boat. But when I got hammered, year before last in the Series Championship, I lost confidence. Soooo, I decided to Co-angle on the Northern Tour and Elites. Best thing I could have done!!!!! Ended up making Elite Wildcard and alot of friends. Confidence is back, and I'm ready to open up a can of "you know what" this year in the Opens. Chris Bowes, tour director, said both fields, already over 2hundred on the Pro-side. He's still got spots on Co-partner side...and theres 2 lakes we're going to in Tx. I highly recommend it!!! Maybe you'll draw the winner.....ME
  18. DITTO ! Cart7 ! Funny how I forgot just how sucky that stow and deploy was! Ain't no Question you owned one ! DITTO...DITTO..DITTO!!!

Hey BigBass, thats a big TBD... But you got a while yet....Championship for 06 ain't over yet! Hey 5Bass whats a couple of sunday outings got to do with the NATION? :-?
  20. First day I drew Chad Brauer, before blast off we had Dad Denny on one side and Kevin VanDam on the other and Gerald Swindle in front...anyway, KVD was signing a hat for his Co and looked at me sitting next to him and said "want somethin signed"? I said how about a personal check! We all laughed...G-Man the hardest. Thats when I knew I had to bring the camera the next day.
  21. So I don't drive you nuts, I was shot gun in Jeff Reynold's mossey oak! Copperhead Island, SC. Lake Wylie 2006
  22. You got Martens, but I think Kevin might take exception to being called IKE !
  23. Here's a couple...leave your front seat at home, it gets in the way, beside you catch that kicker, and you'll want to break dance ! ;D Take your cup holder out and use it to hold the net. Your co-partner knows where its always at and so do you! Lastly if all else fails, ask one of these guys!
  24. Want a torture test? Try out the 06 Northern B.A.S.S. at Erie Sandusky. 7 boats torn up! 10 footers that were cresting! Matt Spars TRX 20'er was broke in half ! Erie wasn't choosey about boat MFGs. I think she got at least one from all the major mfg's . Tourney day 2 called off ! 7'ers in the Bay! Life threatening to say the least...no inland lake water will ever bother me again!
  25. MY hand is fully raised. This year already have my "selected" letter from B.A.S.S. back for all six Opens. My main sponsor has insisted for exposure reasons that I fish all Series local events too. There are only two Stren tourneys , I am going to, because of conflicts, but my main thrust, is to be IN the classic come this time next yr. The Elite will have to be discussed with both Sponsors and Wife, but would take an act of Congress for me not to say YES. That is the 07 Goal! I'm confident I'll do it, I know most of the lakes and have alot of good friends to help ! This makes the sixth year since I put the bullseye on KVD's back, and God willing next year we'll bump boats in pre-start. I started tournaments some 20 years ago, some of you remember the Red-man's. Let it go, because of that terrible word "responsibilities". But got back into it when ABA came into our area 6 yrs ago. Gave me a fever again. Made the nationals on KY Lake the first year held at Paris landing, and its been a downhill snowball since. Alot of ladder rungs have been climbed, alot of humiliation and crow-in. I've spent almost as much time in the back as I have in the front,(last yr as co-angler in BASS tour, made the Elite Qualifier, Major observer 2 times) Boater in BASS Series National 05-06, been to 4 national ABA's 8th place was highest finish., missed last yr had a conflict with Sandusky Northern BASS. Ive got 9 top 50s , 3 top 20's in BASS, 4 top 20's and 1 win on the BFL. But....the best thing about the last 5 yrs has been meeting all the guys and girls, making friends with people I would have never dreamed existed, and fishing some of the best bass waters in America...memories I'll die with! And when I make it, I'll still be here on good old Bass resource! Don't input as much as I should, but I like lookin!
