The big picture is we are in a global market. The Information age ( aka Computers) has helped this come about more rapidly than expected. For industrialized countries to do business with each other, they need to all figure out what they do best, capitalize on that and specialize in their products, to balance trade with others. Simple, 101 economics. My Mom, Italian speaking worked for Robert Hall, after WWII, in basically sweat shop conditions. Look this up AMERICAN MADE: Triangle Shirtwaist Factory we had to go through fighting things like this and as countries who are nearly a century behind us learn these same lessons ,we can help bring about change. Hostilities will get us no where, I should know because I am by nature one Hostile Knucklehead and it impedes me at times. Our record through out history; Cuba and the US FRUIT Company/ South Africa and the Diamond concerns has not been one of benevolence, but we go on and we learn. Third World hard workers deserve the same as everyone else, it is going to take time and perhaps some leadership and mentoring form the USA Should our goal be one of Fair Trade, Mentoring or should we turn all these Third World, expanding countries over to our enemeis to do business Quick Ans: Check out the history of Cuba We are already in a Ferrari flat-out, drunked up and Hell bound for 3rd world status. But hey, keep taxing the small business man and bailing out banks and car companies. Just an FWI, if all that money that went to the big boys had gone to Mr and Mrs Front Porch, a bunch of mortgages would have been paid off by now and people would have had money to spend.

Well put. Well put? Out of touch with reality is more like it. 1. Why are illegal aliens not being stopped at the border? 2. Why is the American dollar being questioned as the world standard? 3. Why would cars ordered by auto worker be documented on the day they were assembled? That's just a start. The America you and I both obviously grew up is not the America that exists now. BTW, will the person who buys your business continue to pay for your pension and health benefits?

I don't buy Chinese products unless I absolutely have to. Perhaps I should have used an asterisk. Everything you do is the result of something done by some idiot politician. Whether to choose to believe it, well that's about up to you.

Pitching Reel - Centrifugal or Magentic Braking
I use the Revo Elite, which is basically the Japanese version of the Premier. It's all I use for baitcasting but it's more for continuity of feel than because of braking. I don't use the magnets. As said above, it's all about the tension knob.

This "Buy American" BS, is nothing more than union propaganda to subsidize higher wages. But that's only half the story, the other half is Corporate interests. Weak dollar, illegal immigrant workforce and high tariffs to retain a captive market. Do you think union members or corporate fat cats feel your pain as they drain your wallet? The best product gets my buck, baby. Whether it's made in Aruba or Zimbabawe or any country in between. You sleep well with your misguided loyalties and empty wallet.

PO'd I fell for Megabass...
yeah. Wah wah wah, crybaby!!!! I hear you, though. BTW, Visions aren't supposed to suspend. I feel the same way about other lures. X-Raps are one that comes to mind. I bought a few, caught the hell out of fish - big fish too - so I went out and bought a ton more, in just a few colors. To my dismay, not all them are alike. In fact, their behavior is very variable, nothing like the consistency you see with a Pointer, Flash Minnow, or Vision. Jezz, even the cheapo Smithwicks are more consistent. You also have to realize that TT is as much about collecting unusual or rare gear as it is about fishing. I mean, its not called BassResource, LOL.... ;D uhh OK? I'm pretty sure all Vision 110's are made the same... or paying 30 bucks means nothing to them. My point is that me and you paid that much for nothing more than a tungsten slider weight, nice finish, poor hooks, "cool looking" design, and bad action. Whoever bought the 110 is a sucker, and apparently I'm one of them. It sucks. I should have known with the flap slap... It's a poor workman who blames his tools. Thats funny. I don't think you know who you're talking to. lol, but really I am an experienced bass fisherman, and these two Megabass products really do suck. Have you fished them? Am I supposed to know who I'm talking to? Yes, I have been using the Vision 110s for about 7 years. Yeah. You didn't get the sarcasm in the "do you know who you're talking to" statement. I threw a little "lol" in there to give you the hint. Maybe Pantera has rotted your brain. But, that long you have been fishing them? Great job looking online to see when they first came out! That is great! Seriously, if you are trying to give me some argument, then make a point. Do you think the Vision 110 is better that a Pointer 100? Amuse me Pantera. P.S. COOL band! Yeah, I had to look on line to see when they were released and came up with the wrong answer. They have been available in the States at least 10 years, if not longer. Actually the Pantera referred to in my screen name is the Evergreen Pantera TXFC-62M. Conversation done. Amuse yourself. uh no, not over. You still have not said what you feel about the bait, and if it is worth thirty dollars. Is the Vision 110 a better fish catcher than the Pointer? Please contribute to the conversation, and not give irrelevant information. Thanks Pantera. 1. Vision 110s have been extremely productive for me in: Pro Blue, Deadly Black, Ito Natural 2. Pleasure and Tournament situations. 3. Any time the water is free of ice. Your attitude toward the other website has no foundation based upon the merits. The reviews of Megabass baits, reels and rods have ranged from poor to excellent.

new(er) braided lines...
I can't speak to those two lines. I have only used the Fireline Radial in 30 and 50 lb test.
-
new(er) braided lines...
Well, basically the radial lines are ... round. They reduce digging into the spool. It cast more smoothly. It lays on the spool better. It's also quieter. I have been using 8 strand lines from Japan for the past 3 years and the difference is night and day. The Fireline radial uses the same technology.

I heard Bernie Madoff had good ###s too.

Boyd Duckett Dumps E21
Can we get a reference of where this came from please? Edit- found the article at http://basszone.com/2009quickflips/duckett7.htm It doesn't seem like BS but that website doesn't shout "breaking news" type of website. To me it seems the rod breakage is bothering him and that he's not sure about the "financial security" his words of the company. That brings up a whole other can of worms for why he might of left them. Possibly a money grab before ICAST. Possibly the company is in trouble like many other companies right now. Who knows but I'm enjoying my 7'8 heavy and this certainly won't stop that! Or it could simply mean Boyd Duckett is a man of integrity and that's such a rare commodity these days people don't recognize it when then hear it.

Soft Plastic Lure life????
multiple uses.

... and the redesigned Revo
you could put the handle you kept on a shimano and it would still be the best part of the reel! http://www.bassresource.com/fishing-forum/Templates/Forum/default/grin.gif

Question about shallow crankbaits.
Can you define "heavy cover"? Timber, vegetation, riprap?
-
Rigging Backwards
backward is excellent for crawbaits as well.

Daiwa Baitcaster Questions
For all around, I would have to say the Zillion. It's the most up-to-date design wise and can be used under the widest variety of situations. The Sol would be better for lighter applications. The Fuego is similar in design to the classic TD Z, a reel which was in production for near 10 years, so it's proven itself. I don't have any issues with the Revo mag brake, so I really don't have any complaints with the Daiwa mag brake. The Shimano crew will becoming around soon.

Spooling a spinning reel
x3 on that, I saw that recommended in the Certate owner's manual about 3 years ago. Combine that with flipping the bail manually and it's twist is rare

Another Baitcasting Thread (Mag Brakes)
In actuality on a revo, you crank the mag to max and adjust the spool tension Page 3 of Revo owners manual: "When making this adjust the magnetic brake must be set at zero" You may want to go back and check. I confirmed it before I posted it.
