Computer question
Just tried it. Didn't work. I'm going to run the diskcheck program. Maybe that will cure it. First though, I'll turn the unit off, then disconnect to power source. That cures many ailments.

Computer question
Something happened, or I unknowingly did something to my computer. Now, when I click on a link in a post, it opens sizewise, smaller than a credit card. They are the size of the notices you get when you click on one of the icons at the bottom right of the screen, such as the volume setting. They will expand to full page when I click on the maximize button, but for some reason, the default seems to have changed for opening links. Any thoughts? Edit: The blue bar at the top does show in the small version which opens. The title of the page shows partially and the buttons at the top right are there.

Re-wiring for trailer lights
I think a couple of hours would be optimistic if you have to snake the wires through the trailer frame. I'd tie a long piece of string to each connection, long enough to pass through the frame when you pull the wiring harness out, leaving a few feet extra so you can pull the new wiring or wiring harness back through the frame. Snaking wires and finding the holes in the frame for each wire would consume an inordinate and unneccesary amount of time. It might be cheaper in the long run to buy a wiring harness from a dealer who sells your make of trailer. They will be color coded and come with new plugs and connectors. And, the dealer should be able to give you some helpful hints to make the installation easier. If your trailer doesn't have rubber grommets where the wires pass through the frame, you may be able to find some at the local hardware store. I was poking around at the local Ace hardware store, and found they carried them in many sizes. An alternative is to get a few feet of hose, fuel line or heater hose will do. Cut it into four or five inch pieces, then slit it open lengthwise so you can wrap it around the wires, then slide it into the hole in the frame to protect the wires from chaffing. You want a snug fit so the hose doesn't fall out. If you need it to be a bit thicker, wrap it with electrical tape.

Nice! What ya after? These photos were taken a few years before I renovated the wheelhouse. It was a crude old Novi boat, but it served me well. You've got the life, enjoy! Keep in mind, those photos of us unloading were taken 32 years ago. But, I'm not complaining. Had a good life, and am still enjoying it.

Here's two popular striper spots. Hens and Chickens reef, just south of Gooseberry Island, in Westport, MA. There is one rock that stands alone with a spindle to warn mariners that is known as Old ****, goes with the Hens and Chickens. The Chickens Channel runs between Gooseberry and the Chickens as it is called by the locals. Extending from Cuttyhunk into Rhode Island sound is another rocky reef, only three or four miles SSE of Hens and Chickens. It is a bit larger, so it is aptly named Sow and Pigs.- Carpet replacing
Aluminum, fiberglass, or wood, I'd start with a paint scraper. The kind you pull, like this one. You may find it easier to use a heat gun (judiciously) to soften the glue. Work a small area at a time.- Post a photo a day!

Aren't you a bit young for Imelda Marcos? Here's a photo of her "shoe closet".- Winterizing???
If you're done using it for the season, the sooner you get it winterized, the better. There is no practical reason to wait. Winterizing, though commonly used, is a poor term to describe the process of prepping a motor that is not going to be used for a "long" period of time. "Winterizing" should be done anytime the motor will not be used for several weeks. The process of rusting/oxidizing that can ruin an engine begins the moment you turn it off. It's just not practical or necessary to put oil in the cylinders every time you turn it off. There is a very light film of oil on pistons, cylinder walls. rings, etc., that will provide short term protection, but not sufficient to last a few months. The cold isn't the problem. It's the lack of use. Motors should be prepped for storage, even in warm climates.- Cosigning a college loan???
Sallie Mae? Don't get me started about them. They are the most screwed up money handlers in the world. When our son-in-law passed away, he was past due on one payment. The phone calls began. If a payment is past due, they will not speak to you. Call them, put in the loan number(s) and you automatically get routed to the collections department or a bill collector. Unless I'm mistaken their "collections" are handled by independent contractors who cannot deal with anything other than send us the money. They want their money. They don't give a hoot about resolving issues or answering questions until they get their money. Even then, when we tried to get a payoff figure, they kept giving us different payoff numbers. It took months to get clear of them. That was three years ago, and we still get emails from them about how we can do this or that with our loans to save money by consolidating or doing this or that.- Winterizing???
What is your major concern? Freezing water cracking the block of the engine? Unless I'm mistaken, the water used to cool the engine drains unless the motor is stored in a horizontal position. But, if you're planning on laying up your rig during the cold weather, it should be winterized, which includes draining all the fuel from the engine, removing the spark plugs and putting roughly a teaspoon of oil into each cylinder. Then the motor should be turned over to get a good coating on the cylinder walls and rings. Fuel filters/water separators should be inspected serviced and replaced as needed. All pivot points should be greased. Anodes should be checked, etc., etc. You should find the instructions on the particulars for proper winterization of your engine. Batteries need attention as well, and should be kept charged throughout the offseason. All terminals should be inspected and cleaned if necessary. Nothing is really complicated, but it is vital to maintain your engine's reliability and longevity. Don't forget your boat. Clean it, if fiberglass, give it a coat of wax. Use rubber/vinyl cleaner protectant on your seats, and if you store it outdoors, cover it. Before you cover it, it's not a bad idea to put something like DeCon in a place where domestic animals cannot get to it, in the boat. Mice and other critters are also looking for a safe haven for the winter. They love to get into cushions and other material to build nests. That's just for starters. Do a google search of winterizing boats for storage, and you should get all the info you need.- New Product Coming soon?Have a problem with bow mount's.Answer here.

Congratulations, that is even worse than mine. Here's a good bit of advice to remember. When you meet two women, maybe sisters, and you are wondering about their ages, be sure to ask which one is younger, never ask which one is older. The first question will provide the answer, but without the offense the second could generate.- New Product Coming soon?Have a problem with bow mount's.Answer here.
I like it! A weed eater converted into a trolling motor.- One great wedding
Yes, I can relate. I was a wreck walking our younger daughter down the aisle. It was the biggest relief when I "squeaked" out "Her mother and I do." and could go sit with my wife. Congratulations to you and best wishes for the happy couple.- Post a photo a day!

Hummingbirds are interesting little creatures. We had one that used to get into our garage from time to time, attracted by the flourescent lights. At least that's my theory. To get him out, I'd have to pin him against a window with a soft broom. At this point, the bird would literally swoon/faint. I'd take him outdoors, let him just lie there on my palm, and in a few seconds it would come to and fly away, and light on a small branch. Had to do this three or four times one summer.- Post a photo a day!
- What's your fishing style ?
As for me, I need the security blanket of just about everything. There is really no logic to it. Most days I fish three or four things. I guess it's because I subscribe to the philosophy that it's better to have it, and not need it, than to need it, and not have it. You guys who are minimalists have my utmost respect, but I need my blankie. Except when fishing from my canoe. Then three or four rods will do, along with a duffle bag of plano boxes that hold hooks, sinkers, jig heads, etc, and at least a half dozen bags of plastic baits and trailers. I do carry extra gear in my truck.........just in case.- Time
The only tests I take are lab tests and blood tests. If it will help with those I may be able to get off my meds. - Your Honey Hole
