  1. The sweetest noise/sound, is that of a fish pulling out line against the drag.
  2. Look closer. It was written by a tag team. Holly Yan (there's your Asian descent), and Joe Sterling (his use of English does not appear to be very sterling). However it is obvious that the person of Asian descent was a lady, not a gentleman.
  3. I'm down to 71 days and 11 hours. But I'm leaving on April 19th. Go here, and you can download your own free countdown timer. Once you set it up, it will appear on your screen when no window is open. When you download it, you can find the download by clicking on the start icon, then computer, then click on downloads. You will find the program there. Click to open it, then, fill in the "event" line, then program it for the date and time. Click on start, and you're good to go. http://www.eventcountdown.com/
  4. I suggest you swallow the two dimes and the nickel to see if you dispense the quarter. Are you programmed to handle bills as well?
  5. Thanks. That answers my second question.
  6. I see it now. To me, it looked like he was trying to pry the toilet off the floor. That still begs the question, who's going to fish in a toilet?
  7. Nice. You're gonna love your newfound freedom. Good luck and make many happy memories.
  8. I can't figure out the bottom right symbol. The bottom left caught my eye. Don't need any help with that one.
  9. When I saw the picture, I immediately thought of Raider.
  10. Do a search, (Google, Ebay, whatever) and see what you get for results.
  11. Put a wrap of masking tape or use a sharpie to mark the inner tube where it extends from the outer tube. Raise the bow to the limit of the jack. Put a sturdy stand under the tongue, then crank the handle to take the weight off the jack. Release the lock and swivel the jack so the wheel is up. Get a spray can of white lube with the "straw", and spray the lube down between the tubes. Pivot the inner tube, and lube again. Lube the exposed tube to the tape or mark, then retract it all the way, pivoting the inner tube as you retract it. If your jack has a grease fitting, lube that too. It usually lubes the gear mechanism. While you're at it, lube the wheel axle as well. Then jack the tongue up, remove the stand, and lower the boat to its normal position. Clean any excess lube off the inner tube, and it should roll and steer easily. It doesn't take much of a bind to make steering difficult.
  12. For me, it would be more than a matter of "open water". If I'm going to tow my rig any distance, it's going to be to a place where the fish are likely to be biting. I'm certainly not going to tow to open water with expectations of mediocre fishing. For me, that would probably mean towing to central Florida or further. And, if I'm going to tow that far, I'd want to spend at least a couple of weeks fishing. Since we go to the races at Daytona, and spend ten days there, it's not likely that I'd tow my boat and leave it unattended at the motel while we are at the track, or going out to dinner. Take Daytona out of the equation, and I'd have no problem hooking up my boat and traveling the 1300 miles or more for a couple of weeks of fishing.
  13. Are their initials PA and KAJ?
  14. Even if it does, do you want to tote nearly five pounds around in your back pocket? To corrupt a saying of The World's Most Interesting Man, "Drink quickly, my friend."
  15. No time better than the Road Trip, which is only 12 weeks away. It's only a five or six hour drive from southern KY. I've got a 21 hour drive, with a boat in tow. As has been stated in previous Road Trip announcements, "No excuses." At 72, time is getting short for me.
  16. Slips. There are many types of slips. Some but not all do have a finger pier on each side of the boat. Some have one finger pier which serves two boats. Others have short finger piers. Yet others have no piers or floats off the main dock. And, one final image, all the photos came from an image search of boat slips.
  17. Maybe the top of my head looked like a nest. The poor thing had to be desperate for rest. I'd guess their next chance for rest would have been Montauk Point on Long Island, or possibly Block Island.
  18. That's okay. The birds that migrated in the fall liked me.
  19. The Superbowl is over. The Daytona 500 is less than three weeks away. My refurbished spinning reels are in transit from Delaware Valley Tackle. I'll get them mounted and refilled with new line before we head to Daytona Beach. I'll get out a few times in March and April to make sure all systems are go. Then, on April 19th I'm outta here for two weeks of fishing at Pickwick and Wilson. It's a tough life.
  20. At times, there's more whine than cheese, from my buddy Dinky. Especially if you get into his stash of Crispy Cremes.
  21. Twisted, but funny nonetheless.
  22. Whaddya mean, single guys? Married guys can drive black trucks too.
