Clarks Hill Lake - GA
Thank you for the info. I will be heading up on Wednesday and am hopeful that my boaters will have some places planned out. In my readings it sounds like it is a good fishery so we'll see. Thanks again for posting this info, I am trying to soak in as much as I can find!

BASS Reduces Co-angler's Limits to 3 Fish
Personally I think the 3-fish limit caters more to those fisherman that get lucky. Almost anyone can get lucky and catch 1 decent fish during a tournament setting but it actually takes skill to catch 5 tournament quality fish. When you drop the number of fish from 5 to 3 you allow luck to play more into the results than skill. I am always more impressed with the guy who can catch 5 fish averaging 3-4 pounds than the guy who caught one giant and 4 (1.5 pounders). The guy who catches 5 (3-4 pound fish) did more homework on the lake and had more skill involved. Also, when it comes time for bedding season a 3-fish limit puts a premium on finding that one big sow and again takes the skill out of locating a group of true tournament quality fish. I think the 3-fish limit stinks in general and totally agree that fish care should not be an issue. I am in Tampa, FL and fish in 95 degree weather every summer and in my 3 years of tournament fishing have had 2 dead fish. It all comes down to paying attention to your fish and making sure to refresh your water throughout the day, treat it with Rejuvinade or a like product and put some ice in from time to time. Really all not that hard to do to keep our resources healthy to be caught again!

Clarks Hill Lake - GA
Heading up to Clarks Hill for the BFL Regional as a Co-Angler next week 10/15-10/17. I have never fished this body of water and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on techniques to try or baits/colors to bring with me. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Advice for Lake Kissimme in October
It was enough for me to qualify for the State Championship in Nov. on Okeechobee but not enough to get a check. I was throwing a Trap and a Chatterbait all day. I am fishing the BFL as a co-angler in two weeks. Gotta keep my spot to make the tournament in GA

Advice for Lake Kissimme in October
I caught my limit for 6.35lbs and my boater had a limit for a little over 8lbs. We got to our eventual spot at around 10:30AM so we missed the early bite. The first spot we went too was dead. Think we would've done better had we gotten to this one area earlier as they seemed to be there.

Advice for Lake Kissimme in October
Fished a BASS Federation Nation tourney as a Co-angler this past Sat and we caught some on topwater (chug bugs, torpedos) in Kissimmee. There were also some schoolers but you had to be in the right spot at the right time of course. Also heard that flukes were working well.

BASS Federation Nation 8/29 Qualifier (Camp Mack, Kissimmee)
Is anyone fishing this on the boater side this weekend needing a practice partner on Friday (8/28). I am going to fish this one as a non-boater and was wondering if I can hitch a ride on Friday to get a little practice in. Feel free to PM, thanks Mike

Do pro's pee off the boat?
What a silly question...but I do actually have an answer (unfortunately!). I fished as a co-angler with the Elites and FLW Tour in 2008 and every guy I fished with did the deed off the bow when nature called. I won't name names, but I dont think they are any different than the rest of us when they need to go

Any updates on Istokpoga?
Thanks again for all the insight. We ended up winning our club tournament with just over 16 pounds. Caught all our fish in the pads out front of Hendersons on Watermelon/Red Senkos fished slowly on the outside edge of the pads. Texas rigged using a 1/32 tungsten weight. We tried some of the Hydrilla on the south end where we were told they were and caught some in practice and just couldn't get the bite going but the pads in front of Hendersons held them Saturday. Our big one was only 4.6lbs but we had a nice average catching three in that 3.5 - 4.5 range. All in all it was a good day!

Any updates on Istokpoga?
Anyone fish Istokpoga this past weekend? Heading down this Fri/Sat to fish it. Curious how it's fishing. Was planning on hitting the pads by Henderson for sure and that NW bank along the grass lines.

Lake Tarpon, Pinellas County
Fished it on Saturday, I live about 5 miles from the lake so it is kinda my home lake. Was a struggle until the weather changed just a tad and then they turned on a bit. Ended up with 5 fish in about an hour once the weather changed and the storm started rolling in. Am thinking the barometer moved. Caught them all on a Sexy Shad Red Eye Trap working the outer edge of the grass lines on the NE banks. Find the hydrilla and grass and work around them. My big one Saturday was about 4.5lbs.

Any updates on Istokpoga?
Thanks for the insight guys. I have always struggled in that hydrilla but I know there are some lunkers in there. Will see what I can do to find some

Any updates on Istokpoga?
Heading down to Istokpoga on Aug. 7th-8th and have not been there in over a year. Any current reports on where/what is happening down that way? I know the hydrilla is usually the "IT" spot, but hoping to find some in the canals and the pads in NW section. Thanks

ICAST 2009
I was wondering if anybody knew if there was any way to get into ICAST for an average joe fisherman. I live in Tampa and noticed ICAST will be in Orlando next weekend and would love to go and walk around and check it out. If anyone can help out it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Lake Toho - Any reports??
Thanks a bunch, I am not much of a Carolina Rig guy but will give it a go! Was out there yesterday (Sunday) and ran around to a bunch of spots I have fished previously and couldn't latch onto anything specific. Did notice a bunch of boats a little North of Marker 24 but didn't see many fish coming up. Thanks again though I do appreciate it.

Lake Toho - Any reports??
I am heading over to Toho this weekend to try to scout out the lake a little for an upcoming club tournament on the 11th. Was wondering if anyone could share the lake conditions, what the bite has been like lately. Have not fished this lake in summertime and am a little lost on where to begin! Thanks

Lake Panasoffkee, FL - Any help much appreciated
Heading out to Lake Panasoffkee this weekend (Sunday) to do some bass fishing. I haven't been there in years and just wanted to know if this lake is safe to run full speed on all over. Also, if anyone has any hints on locations to fish they'd be much appreciated. Will be launching from Tracy's Point on the SouthWest side of the lake. Thanks!

G. Loomis Help - Broken Rod
Thanks for the info. I just got done with the Expiditer online form. Hope to get that rod here by next weekend if all goes right! It's nice to know they have an easy service like that....makes spending that kind of money on their rods seem much easier to swallow. Thanks again!

G. Loomis Help - Broken Rod
Was hoping someone may be able to help me out with the Lifetime Warrany info for Loomis. Was out last weekend and my GLX Rod busted on me after I tried to set into a fish (not sure if it had stress crack prior to or not). I got this rod as a gift a few years back so dont have receipt or anything. In reading the Loomis info on warranties for rods I cant tell if they replace or fix and charge fee. Does anyone have info on this type of situation? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike
