When I can't catch then on a lure I switch to live bait, if there not hittin the live bait there not hittin.

Where do fish go when the depth of the water is the same all around. I fish a small river that doesn't get more than 5 ft deep.

I dunno man, why stop a good thing. If senko's are working I would sell your other lures to buy you some more senko's.

I'd like to say it really doesn't matter, but fishing in the only few spots there are to fish from on the bank really gets old after a couple years.

Its obvious you need stonger line, but you may want to try raising your rod when it feels like the bass are trying to take a nose dive for the weeds.

fishinaz, I would try to use some kinda live bait. Minnows are awsome because the bass love'em.

Livebait is the best, but I found that a small jitterbug at night will get those big smallmouths.

I enjoy fishing off a bank, but I can't wait till I can get a boat someday.

I always take live minnows with me and they always work. Most the time its the stripers hitting the shad though.

Since you said something about shiners, I've always used them on the side of the bank, just cast out then leave. How would you use them on a boat?

So is it better to fish above the rapids or below? And do you know what lure would be best to use near these rapids?

Ok, I'm not talking huge rapids here. I'm talking rapids that you can wade in? Should you fish these rapids or stay to the calm water?
