  1. Hey J Francho I think that is the strongest stuff out there but in cold weather it is a bear on a BC reel. 12lb. on my shallow crank rod but it would just explode on a hard cast , any secrets to this issue ? By the way , not trying to hyjack thread , sorry
  2. opinions are like ****holes , everybody has one so here is mine for all its worth. I have 4 PQ baitcasters and love them. I have also owned my PQ spinning reel for a few years now and it has great anti reverse , drag and will cast a mile. My opinion is the quality of the pq spinner is far superior to the baitcasters. I take better care of my bc's better than my spinning gear. I just got a stradic to setup for dock skipping but won't have a chance to try it for quite some time. (dam the hard water)
  3. I have been down to the Foxboro Mass. BPS and found the employees very helpful and more than willing to talk about gear and fishing much more so than the Cabelas store here in Maine
  4. only yammies with enrichers need to be level
  5. I could care less what anyone says about BPS reels , they perform as good as anything out there and the prices are great , no complaints with any of my BPS reels JM sig series , PQ'S and carbonlites. I will have atleast one of the new ones as soon as they are available.
  6. like title says , would like to find someone in state to service and supertune some baitcast reels.

  10. Big O is right , I see no sense in fishing with someone and not talking. When I fish with my buddy stinkus it is great to see him catch fish and to not talk and laugh would be foolish in my book. Heck I even let him fish from the front yesterday and for the first time I fished from the back. We had our best day this year.
  11. BPS carbonlite with micro guides revo stx rage baits lucky craft cranks
  12. I would think we could all meet somewhere in the middle
  13. take a picture of the motor and post it here. I can find you one.
  14. pull the lower unit back off. I bet you did not get the tube that goes in the water pump in correctly. when you put the gearcase back up in sometimes you have to keep the tube lined up.
  15. pm me when you plan to go , I have no problem saving you time and helping you find the fish. It is fantastic smallie fishing. Just be sure to check the weather before you go , that lake is long and can get down right nasty.
  16. congrats on your new pb. I will be in Brewer wens. am before heading to Brownville to camp. I will be fishing Schoodic for smallies and yes I have had many 40 plus fish days up there. My biggest was just under 7lbs.
  17. mine will be here saturday
  18. I saw that 7lb'er before I caught it , I turned on the live well and was going to keep it for mounting but the die hard bass fisherman in me made me let her go after wife took some pics. On a good day 3 and 4 lb'ers are common. Were in Maine is there another schoodic lake ?
  19. Hey MBM Have you ever fished schoodic lake in Lakeview or Brownville ? It is a fantastic smallmouth lake. I am up there quite a bit and 50 plus days are common. My smallmouth PB came from there 7lbs.

  21. Big O Thank you for what you are doing. I am a proud father of a wounded vet from the Iraq war and also spent a year in Afghanistan and scheduled to return in Dec. They really appreciate what you and others are doing. Proud parent of Sgt. Ryan D. Jensen
  22. How long would you have the reel ? very interested.
  23. I love the reel , just nowhere the drag of my revo's. If it can be increased though I would buy a couple more and sell my sx and stx , I like the CL much better.
  24. Does anyone know if it is possible to increase the drag in a carbon lite and if so who could do it ?
