south miami-dade fishing...
well, i dont know of any decent lakes around my area. there are some in the 'communities' around me , but i have no idea if theyre fish-able. i usually fish freshwater up in broward county , but i havnt been going up there as often as i used to. ive asked friends and people at work , but they all fish saltwater if they fish at all. anyone in the area care to share a spot or two?

:-/ That's not the definition of "mook" he meant. A mook on this website is a member of the Pfluger posse, like Muddy. i kinda figured it meant something else, just wasnt sure. ..

Some questions on trick sticks/senkos.
i looked aroundin the FAQ , and didnt quite get an answer. hm. would it be safe to say , that generally you'd want the point of the hook right around the center of the bait? i was kidding on the favorite color , lol. one more thing, anyone use these in saltwater?

Some questions on trick sticks/senkos.
im ordered some trick sticks (never used em) through *** , and at $2-2.50 a bag , im snagging up 5 or 6 bags of em. obviously it will take me a bit to go through them , what is the proper way to store them? how do you determine what size hook for the size worm youre using? i ordered some 3" , 4" and 5"... and , whats your favorite color...j/k. thanks.

Pflueger Supreme Spinning reel for $69.95
so there would be an obvious difference in appearance from the real to the 'fake'? just got my president 6725 in today from ebay. it looks just like it does on their site , but i noticed a 'made in china' sticker on it. it just got me thinking..

Light/Ultralight fishing rigs...
well , now im not sure wether i should go with a L or UL rod. im set on the ugly stick lites since thats right in my budget and the fiance wont let me spend any more than that , lol. looking to order tonight. link - http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp;jsessionid=PN31XFPU3HBDRLAQBBKSCOFMCAEFAIWE?id=0023483112342a&navCount=2&podId=0023483&parentId=cat20374&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat20333-cat20333-cat20374-cat20374&catalogCode=IJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20374&hasJS=true&_requestid=78379 ive never fished either either a UL or L so i dont really know how they will handle a larger fish if one takes the bait. or how the 6725 will suit either size rod. and thanks for all the replies. 8-)

sounds good. i may just get the pflueger trion for now since its pretty cheap and i wont be mad at myself if something does happen to it. ill probably step up to the president when i put together a med/light action deal. too bad the trions dont have a 5-5.5ft 2 piece combo.

some nice rigs mentioned here. can anyone comment on the pflueger presidents construction? mainly the body/frame. i just want something that will last me a good while. the 6725 looks pretty tempting. also , is there any reason i cant go with a light action rod with a smaller reel like that? i was looking at the ugly stick lites - http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0023483112342a&navCount=2&podId=0023483&parentId=cat20374&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat20374&catalogCode=IJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20374&hasJS=true the 5.6 ft 2 piece. its rated for the same lure weight, just bigger line.

well i was about to order one of the two shimanos untill i noticed there is now a $10 difference between the sahara and symetre. maybe there was before i was having a 'moment' or they really did. is the $10 worth the extra bearing? everything else seems to be the same for the 750 size. the symetre line uses metal frames on the larger sizes. something id prefer on which ever reel i get. the pflueger president 6720 is starting to look a bit better for the same price as the symetre. just less line capacity. i was almost SET on the shimano's after reading this review a few times - http://www.tackletour.com/reviewshimanosahara.html ah ... choices , choices.

ive seen the new 1000 size , but im trying to do this on a budget , so that extra $20-30 can go to the rod. did you get yours in yet? thanks , shes very spoiled. i built the cage myself , and overdid it a bit. shes happy though.

sorry to hear that. for future referance , it is kinda bad to feed them mice due to the fact that they are very hard to digest and can carry parasites. they can get up to 10 years old , sometimes older , with proper care and good health. and they probably are one of the best reptiles to have around kids. theyre very laid back and tame as can be. if you have any questions about them you can PM me...

well , i found that cabelas has the sahara and symetre 750 for the same price. as far as i can tell , theyre basicly the same , except for one extra bearing...

Tackle bags , boxes or your own thing...
so it seems like almost everyone prefers bags. i guess i may just keep doing my own thing with the tool bag unless i come across something i like on clearance. btw , im lovin' the kayak J Francho. i actually plan on getting one when i move to NC. probably a malibu mini-x or something similar in size.

Light/Ultralight fishing rigs...
IF i ever make it up to BPS , ill check out the abu's. nah , i dont raise em. dont have the room to. she was eating 1000 every 7-10 days for a while till she got ill, but she finished her meds and is going for another checkup soon. at $16 per 1k , it adds up quick , lol. at about 18 months they should be eating less than 50 proper sized crickets a week. pics of the beast - http://bearded-dragons.com/boards/index.php/topic,778.0.html im thinking about grabbing an ugly stick since thats all ive ever owned and im not exactly gentle with my rods.

I've got the same reel on a 6'6 G-Loomis SR782 IMX. I use 4 and 6 pound mono. The reel is good for the money and the rod is awesome. I use beetle spins, 1/8oz spinner baits and small jigs, cranks and 4" worms. Very versatile. just the reply i was waiting for! can you comment more on the reel? im reading that the sideplate and rotor are graphite. would there be any reason to go with aluminum? also , the combo i throw together may see some smaller salt water fish. sorry for the questions , lol. im just trying to find as much as i can about the sahara before i make the purchase.
