all i own at the moment is a couple presidents. i first bought the 6725 , then i saw that sports authority had a 6740 combo with a 7' M rod for $59. i also had a $10 off coupon so i snagged up a sweet combo for $52 with taxes and everything. no problems and smooth as silk. i do have a shimano citica on the way though.

i just got a 6' M compre from a member here. so im good for now. thanks anyways though.

even though this may or may not not help , this is what i do.. 3 boxes. one double sided plano for saltwater. egg weights and split shots of various sizes and hooks. one double sided for fresh. one side is weights , swivels , beads , and used hooks (i have a thing about putting used hooks with new). and the other is worm hooks in order from size. the other is a single sided for hardbaits. all i have is a couple floating and a couple jointed rapalas , but more will be added when i come across a deal. i keep just enough for a long day of fishing (very , very long) in each box that i keep in a 10" craftsman tool bag with a shoulder strap that i bring with me. the excess is thrown a larger tackle bag (the ugly stick "free" tackle bag).

was wondering what you guys setups are like. mine- flooger president 6725 fugly stick lite 5'6 ul 6lb trilene xl i do plan on getting a better rod sometime , but for now , this one works just fine for being on a budget.

x2. and in some places it is legal. there is a reason for that , but that is a different conversation/argument. i could see if it was something like steroids or another performance altering drug while he was competing , but he wasnt and it was pot. also , the fact that he is a gold medalist sure doesnt help. but i do understand the whole role model thing. but who is to say that is the first time he has smoked? im darn sure it wasnt. and with passing over 1500 drugs tests in his carrer , it obviously hasnt effected his performance.

i cought a PB 3 or 4 times within 20 mins fishing with shiners. the first few times he snapped the line (my fault) , so i knew it was him when i landed him and saw 3 hooks in his lip. after i gave him some quick dental work , he was on his way.

oh god. do not even get me started on this horrible rapper. he is not the greatest rapper alive by a long shot. his voice is very annoying. he shot him self in the leg. when confronted about some beef he stirred up , he backed down and denied the whole thing. i dont know why he thinks he sounds so great on every song he does. i dont know why people put him on songs when he sounds like that. gorilla zoe took him off the album version of 'lost' , probably because he is annoying. he kissed BG. i can go on... while he does come out with alot of music , 90% of it is trash. and the autotoned voice is way overplayed. i liked him pre-carter 3. i dont mean to hurt anyone feelings , but this is IMO. i just dont like him. at all.

i had a similar problem with my president 6725. everytime i open it , i have to keep it level or the gearing wont sit right. that may be the problem with yours as well? maybe the spacer too.

well of course it would need to be moderated to keep things in check if they get out of hand , but i do see where you guys are coming from. i dont think anyone would be sold on a product just because a member said it was the end all be all product , especially if they were known to be a die hard fan of that brand. i know i wouldnt. and about tackletour , there are alot more producs out there that they dont have reviews for and probably never will since they do come out of the pocket for what they do have.

they do not carry the 2 piece model i want. maybe ill try my luck here in the flea market.

looking at the clarus , it seems to fit the bill since they do come in a 2-piece. and that warranty looks good too. i just dont have a cabelas anywhere near me , or in NC where ill be moving to later this year. do they ever go one sale at cabelas? aparently BPS doesnt carry that model , at least online. boo.
