Over Loading Spinning & Casting Reels Line Test
yo-zuri is definitley using misleading market hype , look up a documented line strength chart and you will see their linebreaking strenth per diameter is not that impessive ...

Lews Tourney Mb Or Lews Lfs
if you can swing it , the Tournament Lite is a phenominal reel , shop around online and it can be had for around what a MB at MSRP costs . i got mine off Amazon for $143 , the reel is super light and even though it has a carbon frame and side plates , i have detected no flex in the reel . The ACB brake system is superb !!! with a full spool of 14 lb. Sniper , 95 mm carbon fiber handle & Revo eva large knobs , it weighs in at 6 ounces even .

What Ratio Baitcaster Should I Get?
i used to use 7.1:1 gear ratio baitcasters but have since grown to love the 6.4:1 gear ratio as it let's me reel slower but at the same time if i need to speed up , the 6.4:1 ratio allows me to get all the speed i need . there is nothing like trying to reel slowly with a too high of a gear ratio ....

Monofilament Vs Copoly
i think that co-polymer line is the progression of mono line being that it's better at abrasion resistance , memory , and stretch . i used to use Izorline XXX co-polymer line till i ran into a bad spool of 25 lb. line and their customer service turned out to be a joke !! needless to say i have moved on from that brand & am using Gamma co-poly that is ridiculously strong and has low memory even in the higher pound test lines , definitely going to be all i use on my swimbait setup

Reel Vs. Rod
definitely get a quality reel !!!! a quality reel is an ivestment like a car , maintain it and it will last for years or more , getting a decent rod and using it for awhile will help you perceive what you will like later down the road . get the best reel you can afford and take care of it ...

i meant what model K2 blank , good looking rod !! i also love minimal handles , my spinning rod has the SKSS on it reversed so the ''foregrip'' is now the rear grip , was thinking of not doing any rear grip at all .- Fuji Sk2 Reel Seat
if they were gonna get discontinued , i'd buy 10 SK2's with the graphite hood in size 17 & buy 5 SKSS spinning seats A.S.A.P !!!!- Fuji Sk2 Reel Seat
not a chance of it getting discontinued !!!- Phoenix K2
what blank is your rod built on ??- Phoenix K2
never fished one but have checked out the rods at my local tackle shop and really like them !! i'm gonna have a custom 7'6'' H/F blank built with spiraled micros , just saving up for it . Phenix is a great company with outstading products and outstanding customer service ...- Fuji Sk2 Reel Seat
i myself love the SK2 reel seats . i palm my reel so instead of laying my little finger against the trigger , i wrap my little finger around it making it comfortable and my grip on the reel more secure .- Rod Action ?
that's all i use is three set ups , right now i use - 1.) Phenix M1 7'8'' M/XF custom spinning rod w/micro guides 2.) Rainshadow 7'10'' H/F casting rod w/micro guides 3.) St.Croix Big Nasty 9' musky/swimbait rod w/micro guides i'm gonna replace the Rainshadow soon with a custom Phenix K2 7'6'' H/F and i'm soon to add a Phenix Ultra 7'7'' ML/F custom in a couple weeks , so my total will be 4 set ups .- Calcutta D: I'm Looking For Opinions
That's an awfully awkward reel to use for glide baits , I would think you'd want to go with a low profile baitcaster , I totally understand that a lot of people like their round soup can style reels , but with line on that thing it would weigh over 12 oz.!! I currently use a Revo Toro 51 but am gonna get a Lew's BB2 Pro from the factory and they will put in what ever gear ratio I want for $20 extra, I'm going with the 5.1:1 , the reel holds 14/190 and the reel weighs 6.8 oz. With out line ...- Shimano Calcutta 400Te Clicker Rebuild
Who's Ron , don't you mean Mike ..- What Do U Mostly Build On Standard Or Hi Module?
Jannsnetcraft has the blank for $84.59 in stock . You do know that that blank has a moderate fast action , to me , not what I would want in a toad rod , because that rod is a flipping rod , you really want a fast action rod for toads , moderate action rods are for sweeping hooksets ...- If You Could Buy It All Over Again
if i could do it all over again - i would have bought Thorne Bros predator blanks in XH & XXH in 9 ft. from the get go besides my custom St. Croix Big Nasty that i have now . for my casting rods i would just buy Phenix rod blanks to build on as for reels - i really like Lew's reels and recently been replacing all my Abu Garcia Revo reels with them ....- What's Your Fav Megabass Jerk Bait Color?
