  1. i use 14 lb Sniper and was using KVD L & L , i didn't like the results so after respooling with fresh line , i didn't treat the line with L & L and it works fine , you just have to get used to the managiblity of the line . no more L& L for Sniper ...
  2. fish whatever you like and have fun , who gives a rats *** what anyone thinks of your gear !! it's yours not theirs , keep catching fish and love this sport like we all do ....
  3. You need to try a Canyon Plastics 4.5" frog , they have a hollow cavity that makes for excellent hook ups , they weigh 3/4 oz. With a Owner Beast 6/0 Unweighted hook , they are easy to cast far !
  4. when choosing a reel for the first time , determine which hand you feel comfortable working the rod , you reel with the other hand .. for example , i work the rod with my right hand and reel with the left , all my reels are left handed ....
  5. i'm seriously thinking of converting my rattling crankbaits into silent ones with the okd drill a hole and squirt some super glue inside and epoxy them up again ....
  6. you mean power not action . i prefer longer rods . once you use 7'6'' or longer rods , a shorter rod even a 7 ft. rod seems short , my casting rod is 7'11'' and my swimbait rod is 9 ft. my spinning rod is 7'8'' . two peice rods are cool for ultra lights but not for anything else in my opinion .
  7. if you like that reel seat and want a killer rod for your toad fishing , get the Phenix Recon 2 7'4'' MH ....
  8. that's a Fuji SK2 split reel seat , my favorite reel seat , very comfortable and makes it easy to palm your reel .
  9. what toads are you talking about that are '' no where near the weight of a frog ''
  10. doesn't , hasn't responded ....
  11. adjust your brakes( more than what your used to) , adjust the spool tension control knob( tighter than what your use to ) , and practice short casts till you get used to it then ease off on the spool tension knob and the brakes , also use your thumb on the spool when you cast ....
  12. Big Bite Baits - tilapia Yum - watermelon redflake & bream 5'' baits rigged on an Owner Wacky hook in 1/0
  13. Owner sells single hook treble replacement hooks .
  14. try some Owner Wacky hooks , in my opinion there are none equal ....
  15. you know how 3:16 baits sell out quick , seems all those are already spoken for , probably sold out within minutes ...
  16. sorry about that , i'm sure there is somebody around your area , post a pic after you install it !
  17. love the Owner hooks on them , gonna order a Dredge Brush head 5 pack real soon !! does he offer any BassResource member discount ???
  18. winter and spring it's swimbait time - soft plastic trout imitations(Hudds and Savage Gear line thru , 3D trout) summer time is wacky rigged stickbaits , some shallow crankbaits and stickbaits fall is when i primarily use a jig .
  19. i put the 95 mm carbon handle on it with Revo eva paddles and Boca ABEC 5 hybrids in the spool and this reel is fantastic !!!!
  20. if you meant the Tournament Lite , that reel is way better than a Revo S !!! i replaced my Revo SX with the TL and it is way smoother , casts way better , & weighs ounces less !!! the brakes are waaayy more friendlier too . keep casting with it and you'll see ....

Last year it was all about the Slammer, this year they won't touch it. have you seen the 3:16 Gizzard glide(MacAttack) ?? looks pretty sweet but probably gonna run around $ 100-$150 ...
  22. those Quantum knobs are removable , Diawa & Abu knobs should fit .
  23. i think you would be happy with either , both are good reels
  24. so you don't short change yourself and regret buying a better reel , i would just wait and save up a little more and get the reel you want as it is an investment . that Tournament Pro is a killer deal !!!
