If you want a no stretch line use braid! lol no stretch and abrasion resistant. But I would say flouro!

So what I have learned from it... The fish have been more active but have been hitting shorter. Tubes have been working but nothing else has gotten any hit.... hmmm... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!? Thanks Greg

So again yesterday I missed two bites.. They dinks, i know for sure. I need to take my spinning rod with me and put a jig head in it and try it since I keep missing bites I think. But then again they are just like pop pop and gone.

Yea.. I have a 9ft6 rod that I think would be perfect for jigs and some plastics.

Is it true that you can only use rods 8ft or less in tournies? If so, whats the reasoning behind it? Thanks Greg

What do you guys think of Big Game Hi-vis and Maxima h.v.? To me... Big Game is perfect but the maxima hv is toooo dang thick. I have also tried sufix superior and dont like it at all.

To answer your question Mr. Bagwell, I don't want sponsors. I would rather get my name out there by working my arse off fishing and earning the respect rather than it "given" to me cause I have sponsor. I am 17 and I am on a pro-staff. It don't mean crap tho, it just means I know how to catch fish and know what im talking about.... But I am still learning.

I saw the catch 22s for the first time yesterday in a rainbow trout pattern and holy crap! That thing looked like the trout we have in the pond I fish. I was really impressed.

Thanks guys!!! I tie my own steelhead jigs and have some flat skirt stuff laying around so I threw it on there... I was saying to someone who I was fishing with that I wish i had about a 3/8th oz jighead instead of 1/8.

I tied this one up today and it looks alright.. Nothing to special... Really dont like the colors but it was all that I had.

I've never had a problem with anything from wally world except the eagle claw hooks.

What size jigheads do you all use? Here is a pic of how I was rigging it. if you can tell, it doesnt get back into the tube but just the hook point is inside the tube. I rigged it like this today and missed a fish. I definetly need a lil bigger hook.

Ike and KVD for sure! Ike's personality is a breath of fresh air when watching the tournaments.

I use those same buzzbaits... Love em.. Wish they had em in a lil bigger size cause the ones i got that they had were kinda small.. Fish liked em tho. I use white and/or chartuese. 8-)

Thanks, when I rigged mine up like that it pulled the top down. So I may pick up some bigger hooks. I was using 1/0s'. When I can, I'll post how I was doing it.

Hi all, Lately I have found it easier to fish a tube texas rigged, I didn't know how to rig it but found a way by sticking the hook point in the bottom of the tube. Tonight I had a bass grab it and must not of stuck him cause I lost him.. Is there any other ways to texas rig a tube? Thanks Greg
