I got the Avid Neo USA made rod in MHF for 89 bucks and a free hat and I was entered into the St Croix Rod drawings where they will be giving away like a 150 rods or something. Coming out of the closet on this....................I kinda like the handle

Everyone will have manufactured a technique that works for them, that being said while fishing a fluke I prefer MH, or M Fast or Xfast because I like to twitch them and let them meander aimlessly on a slack line as if they were suddenly threatened by another predator. my .02

Thanks all, You just never stop learning if your willing to ask a few questions After a thorough cleaning and light oil the original bearings are fine. But when they do need replaced I know what i want now.

Thank You All , And feel free to add any input or opinions. With the cold weather I am getting ready to clean my reels up for spring. The revo does have alot of miles on it, but its still smooth and been fairly well maintained.(and a very good reel) With the great advice given If they dont need replaced they wont be. I cant speak for the the other rods mentioned but I really like my loomis 822 Bass rod. Its no NRX but I would compare it to IMX in there line up and it can be had for Around 255.00.

Hmmmmm I have technique specific rods and they all have a reel on them. But I do use them alot of different ways. I am leaning towards adjust the reel.

I will buy Made in USA if they make a good product. I will even pay a few dollars more. I see no problem supporting the home team.
