  1. Ok figured some of it out and am now stuck on the Sacramento river trying to catch Striped bass, I can catch 2 - 3 in an hour but never get better than 14th - Any sugestions.
  2. Finally! I found Bass ... and although the trip was short, I caught 2! total weight probably less than half a pound (IDK) lol but it was fun. I did alot of research and the closest thing to Winnemucca was 1.5 hours away in Denio Junction called Dufferina ponds, and finaly after casting on my Quantum UL, 4lb with a cheep walmart 1/8 oz jig caught my first Northen Nevada Bass on the first cast! I know to everyone this sounds lame but its been over a year and finaly have a place to go to - after 40 bucks in gas, hours of packing, setting up camp and 30 degree weather, I caught TWO! Anyone who needs help locating Bass in Northen Nevada please contact me Via PM
  3. B dozer you are absolutly right with out my gerber on my hip I'm lost I don't need my wallet when I got tools to get the job done Fire thanks please give me a pm or call sometime well have to catch up And wow I'm shocked so far gerber is the number one answer I thought for sure leatherman would be. I used to be a fan of leatherman but a buddy got me a gerber and I abused the heck out of it as a mechanic it broke (when I used it as a chisle) and gerber not only sent me a new one but a updater and better tool. Ill stick with my gerber for life. Now if they could make a sheeth as tough as the multi tool.

Its got a File, Sisors, pliers and more. Just wondering what you all use in your boat / Bag. I know most of you will post Leathermans lol. I stuck with Gerber. Share your thoughts.

  8. Hahahaha sorry I don't mean to laugh but it reminds me of the 4th annual roadtrip. We were given a set of jj s and told what ever you do, do not spill it in your boat. Well my buddy scott didn't spill it in the boat thankfully I had just replaced the carpet. Instead he put it in his bag that got litterally thrown into the back of the truck. Upon returning to our hotell room we wondered why the kitchen was using so much garlic.... a few hours later firefighting15 icemanspd and I nearly admited ourselves to the hospital all 4 bottles broke and sloshed all over a bag ! Needless to say I don't think any of us will touch garlic bread again! Goodluck removing. The smell the bag still smells 2 years later aned its been washed 100 times with scent lock.
  9. Ya know regardless of who is "Right" in this I'm just glad to see someone still sending a letter to the company explaining why they are upset (or happy) for that matter. Not many people take the time to do so anymore. They would have just said to Heck with it and found a new place to shop. I think if you like the company and their products, than its not wrong for you to express your concerns and fight to get a lower price or explanation. I cant wait to see how they reply. I had a similar experience with Berkley, they ended up sending me a ton of promo stuff and coupons to fix our problem, so i stuck with them. Good luck. I hope you get the results your looking for.
  10. How do we know if we arent getting them something they alredy have?
  11. Id say SI as well, but im surprized no one said " Google Earth " / Similar Programs. Its not quite fishing, and i know its been out a while, but look how many are using it for fishing benifits. A topic of SI photos would be cool - Ill look and see if we have one if not we should make one.

  17. I agree its not the best but its a little more realistic than Monster Bass and as far as I know those are the only fishing games for ps2
  18. Don't laugh! I'm still stuck in the dark ages playing PS2 when I can't hit the lake. I've had this Rapala Pro Fishing my girlfriend bought me a few years now and being unemployed I have found time to play. Well to the point I'm having trouble with it lol. I don't quote understand once I cast why it shows me a fish swimming towards me than goes back to my lure. I'm assuming that its or was interested in the lure but 90 percent never bite. I have caught 2 smallies in the free fishing mode but still need casting practice and hooking practice once they do bite. I'm kinda cheeting by casting and letting it sit until they bite. If any of you had or have this game id appriciate any tips ya can throw out there. It sucks royally when all the real lakes are frozen and the closest place to catch bass is 200 miles away.
  19. Man has it been that long alredy! Guys these trips are so worth going and so in expensive concidering the fun you have. Its worth it just to make a few hours and put the names and faces together. Its amazing how much and how fast you can lern too. I think the best part is the new lifelong friends you'll make (simplejoe shoot a pm I'm back online again lol) I really wish I could make this one but I am in nevada now unemployed and have a baby on the way. I hope to move back to NC by tax time so next year I'm in. Untill then I can't wait for the pix and updates! Have a blast!!!
  20. Amazing it has been over a year since I have hooked a bass! Still I have that craving looking for somewhere to fish here in the middle of no where lol. Are there any members around this area that would like to plan a roadtrip to somewhere with bass and not dinky trout I have been catching out of a 2ft wide creek? Send me a message

Thanks guys this is helping. I just got back from Reno where I went to cabellas an picked up a Quantum reel and ultra light pole I'm rigging with P line 6lb test. Found a cool strawberry dough recipe I'm going to attempt to make and hit up the river tonight so ill let yall know how it goes. Ill have to post the recipe later as I'm posting from my crackberry now. Again thanks for the advice
  22. Sounds like fun - I love the days you catch the first fish or a fish you havnt caught before. As for the lures I have heard that Rapalas work decent for Pike, Although i have not fished for pike my friends have and he has a box specificaly for them. Hope this helps and good luck.
  23. So I live in the desert now of Nevada - NO BASS But I have found a little part of the Humboldt River that opens up to a (Semi) dam, and there are CARP So I guess im now fishing for carp. Have caught a few and am looking for big uns. Only 5 Carp at this time and all were 2-4 lbs just little ones but I can see them jump EVERYWHERE. Any Recomendations - how can you tell if there are larger ones in the area im fishing? I have just been using my Shamano Symetry FJ on Medium action Quantum Rod, 8lb Pline Riged with a 1/4-1/2 Oz sinker (depending on wind) small glass bead (To not damage the Swivle) than a #10 Swivle where ill palmer knot a #4 Eagle claw (with the leader alredy attached) Worms have been my bait but im looking up some Dough ball Recipees as I type this - Anyone give me some more pointers? Are they like bass who hang arround structure or just swim the bottom of the pond / River

  25. The pantyhose trick is awsome, I have used it for a while now and very seldom do I loose my bait. Infact there are many catches you can fish your bait back out of the mouth of the cat and re use it. And my wife always has pantyhose (Before the fishing tirp).
