  1. I belive its called a Palmer Knot - I have never had one fail on me. Although it doesnt work for spinnerbaits as far as I know. a 3G knot (Shown in NAFC Mag under Knot wars) is also good just started to use that one. Pick up the "Little Book of Knots" Sold at most cabella and Bass Pro its a life saver. Or make drawings of the knots you see online on index cards and keep them in your bag / Box. Always helps me out when you want to change things up.
  2. I have caught my biggest Bass and catfish in moderate rain. I don't know exactly why but I always do better while it rains just before or just after .
  3. Thanks for the help guys it just hurts knowing I must drive thee hours just to catch bass. I miss NC. I have heard of Willow Resivoir in battle mountain holding bass but have only caught trout and yellow perch. Anyone from this area hit me up please
  4. I was wondering the same thing I have heard you can watch your lure on the finder but I never could find my own. Do you need a primo finder or is there a way to change the options

Try those totes that groccery stores use - I want to call them Egg crates or Milk Crates or somthing - Cant remember what they are called but the boxes stack nicely in those and if you keep them labled its easy to grab and go. Also search arround on the form there are some nice pix of peoples storage rooms and workshops may give you some ideas.

Just an update - THe boat is still sitting - Anyone on the west coast selling a decent jon boat - Its way to rockey to run this thing - Ive taken it to ryepatch and a few others with just the TM the main OB wont run .... /cry 700 dollars for a new ignition box... I need to get a new project and rebuild...

  8. Do SM bass exist in Nevada? if so ... PLEASE tell me they do in Northern Nevada (Winnemuca / battle Mountain area?) I just moved here and cant seem to find places to fish that would hold bass if you know of any in the desert please let me know! Thanks

Ok guys I live in Winnemuca Nevada - Small town look it up if you can find it - We have a river called the Humboldt (VERY SMALL) but has a boat ramp which is now useless concidering the dam is open and the water droped to 3 -9 foot if your lucky to find a deep spot, There is a resivoir with " Wipers " cat and walleye, .... But this is all the information i kinow . Can someone PLEASE tell me where bass are located in my area i know its gona be nothing like the bass im used to catching in North Carolina but i need to get my FIX. Is it posible for bass to live in a little river like this ? How deep or vast does the water need to be for them to be decent size. (at least a pound) any help would be GREATLY appriciated. Thanks
  10. At night if your on a boat try a Zoom Trickworm in Black and yellow with a peged tungs. weight drag it along the banks - It usualy works for me. Good luck - night fishing always brings the best bass out (in my opinion)

HEllo and Welcome - I used to live in North Carolina - And Fished Wiley and that area heavily - Recently (2 moths ago) Moved to Nevada to the middle of the DESERT! and am kicking my self in the BASS for doing so ... WHERE DID THE WATER GO!? Good luck man - this site has everything youll ever need to know about bass or any other thing with a tail in the water.

  18. What part of nevada do you live in NevadaFishingkid? Im in Winnemuca about 40 min from ryepatch. I know there are lots o trout out here but how is the LMB / SMB fishing Heard there is alot of "Wipers" White and striped X mixed ... hoping they are the same catch as a lmb.

HELL I DONT THINK THE PLUG FITS IN THE HOLE ANYMORE ./ CRY ..... Guess i need a new project ... Oh and The trailor SNAPED AN AXLE , BLEW 3 TIRES (YES I Replaced them and blew it again) LOST A WHEEL COVER, AND BROKE A LEEF SPRING. .... ...... Guess i need a new tralor
  22. Ok first off these trips are WELL WORTH IT - I went last year and like joe said have made some life long friends. For the people complaining how far it is for the west coast peeps ... GET OVER IT its well worht the drive - im gona be leaving from NEVADA this year which means anyone who doesnt live in CALIFORNIA is close enough to make it (And the cali peeps can just walk father) The Dinners, (Debs Desert) Guest Speakers, and "Surpizes" are well worth the money traveling from the west coast PULLING A BOAT! Please everyone just register, Reserve rooms / campgrounds and save your cash we have plenty of time to do so. (Dont forget your Christmas clubs) See ya all in ... Where are we going again? East Coast? PS - Greg where is the local Marina? (Im sure ill need it) Bring your tow rope!
  23. Hey man its a Nice boat for 400 bucks! Crap for anything under 500 i wouldn't expect it to float let alone run! Hell if it lasts a few months or years and you can make it look good enough to sell you may be able to buy another to start a bigger better project. Anyways Good luck and send me some pix on the cell when you get this thing going!

Hey guys - Im back - for those of you who know me - I moved to Winnemucca Nevada and now im stuck fishing one resivoir - Rye Patch If anyone has any information on Rye Patch Res. please let me know i have been trying to find a lake map for a while and the search has yielded nothing at this time. Just wondering how the bass fishing is in Nevada and if anyone can recommend a good place to fish at please soot me a PM Thanks Btech
