  5. I kinda lerned its where you place the bait and locating the bass more than what you throw at him. just fish docks brush and any layed down trees are great to throw jigs at, make your bait look natural in the water and read RW's Thread keep going youll get a lunker soon and an empty wallet sooner.
  6. Just watched it on FB hour ago - Great video !
  7. Here in NC, I paid nothing for my fishing liscense this year the guy forgot to ring it up, my small boat (see avitar) was $30 for 3 years. I avoid ramps that charge, usualy $12 to launch at them with free ones a mile away. STUPID! Liscense I believe is $15 / freshwater $5 / trout.
  8. Oh yeah im a junkie, I know because i havnt eatten anything in the past week trying to get me a new pole! JK (well mcdonalds dollar menu) I enjoy the rush of buying anything i think will work just so i can have a good excuse to get to the water. If you buy a pack of worms lay them out until your wife demands you pick them up, tell her you need them to be put on a hook and in the water to make them go away ... It works for me. She usualy just gets mad and tells me to go away - Which I do, With my worms and gear. It all works together!
  9. Just got done reading FRESHWATER ANGLERS - Fishing for Catfish. I believe acording to the pictures in the book that would be a Flathead Catfish (Also looks like it was about to spawn if the head was swollen) Channel cats typicaly have a white tummy and have 30+ ribs on the anal fin. If you like catfishing id recomend you check that book out I lerned alot of facts from it. Did you know a catfish has over 5,000 Tastebuds per Square Centimeter? Thats definatly a nice cat man! Congrats - Any idea on the weight? I assume you plan to eat him...
