First day on the water tomorrow! Need advice!
not a good year so far, been sick, been out of state a lot this year, to much wind and snow, river up some and a little cold waiting for the river to go down a little and warm up a few degrees.

Kids Fish Day
don't know why trout unless when stocked in a pond would be easyer for the kids to catch and give them a chance to enjoy fishing, as for the river i couldn't see 400 kids turned loose on the new river around here, the ages are for 15 and under, fishing around the small lake is more kid friendly and easier to help out the kids and easyer supervised.

Kids Fish Day
I'm helping out with the Pulaski County 1st Annual Kids Fishing Day. our event staff includes local volunteers,Blue Ridge Council BSA, local Conservation Officers, Police Officers, area Hunter Education Instructors, Fire Department and EMS. The Boy Scouts have offered thier 2.5 acre lake at Camp Powhatan for us to use to stock trout for the 1st Annual Pulaski County Fishing Day on May 8, 2010. We are in need of donations to help out with this event, some of the things that we need: fishing rods and reels to loan out for the ones that don't have a rod and reel, size 6&8 hooks, small sinkers, 4&6lb fishing line, door prizes, power bait for trout and could really use money. we have to buy the trout, food, transportation for the kids and t shirts for the event. hopefully all will go well and the kids have a great time and then there would be a 2nd Annual Pulaski County Fishing Day For more information you can call (540) 641-4455 or e-mail kidsfishingday@gmail,com Mailing address is:Pulaski County Kids Fishing Day PO Box 891 Dublin, Va 24084 This is a non-profit organization:all donations tax deductible, Fed ID # availble upon requestof donor. If you need i can send a file and you could print out your own form to send in. if you donate make sure that you let them know it came from a BassResource member. I ask Glenn and he gave me permission to post this about the Kids Fishing Day. Thank you so much Glenn. Thank You SMfisher (butch Bias)

Biggest Mistake After Putting The Boat In The Water
road trip last year, forgot to put my tackle box in the floor- left it on the back when dick took off the box rolled off the back of the boat. didn't know it was missing until i went to change baits about 20 minutes later. $600 to $700 worth of tackle gone. what made it so bad was i had in the tackle box 18 jitterbugh that they don't make anymore most of them i bought off e-bay during the winter. have looked this winter haven't found any to replace the ones that i lost.

favorite top water last year ?
where i fish a jitterbug is best to fish with at night, the color depends on the moon, light night or dark night clouds will also come into play. day time- a fluke, torpedo or sputterbuzz works good for me. sometimes i'll skip a senko across the top of the water.

How to turn wife into bass junky??
got my wife into bass fishing before we got married, the first trip i took her we was wade fishing all day, first time she had wade fished she loved it, gets a tan while she is fishing. now every time she gets a day off she wants to go fishing. be careful it seems like she catches the biggest fish of the day and not shy about rubbing it in. also got her into deer hunting, the thing i like about her she would rather be fishing and hunting than shopping but she does like the bait monkey.

Deer Jerky recipes
here's one i use all the time. 2 cups liquid smoke (natural hickory flavor) 2 cups worchershire sauce 2 cups soy sauce 6-12 oz texas pete hot sauce i use 6 oz about 3 to 4 lbs of meat. marinate over night-right before putting in dehydrator or oven (i use oven at 150 deg. with oven door left open with a 1 inch crack at the top.) lay strips on a paper towel add a little black pepper to the top of each strip. turn jerky every half hour until done (about 4-5 hours)

Funeral buisness
I hear you Big Mike, my wife worked for wal-mart for 17 years. out of the 17 years she missed 1 day for being sick. the last 3 years she was a store manager we could see the changes comming by the way they treated employees. its not what Sam Walton was about after he died it was more about how much money you could make for them and less about the customers and workers, it use to be customer first, employees next and the money would come. in the district where her store was they have forced out a lot of long term employees most with 15 years or more. they have ways of forceing them out so they can replace them with managers with less years and less pay. now that she has a new job there is less stress and she feels a lot better. she puts in less hours compared to wal-mart hour she was required to put in that means she has some kind of life after work with days off that she didn't get at wal-mart. there is jobs out there they might not pay as much but i think they are worth it in the long run. as far as going to wal-mart to shop that would be a no, we will shop other stores. we have found Krogers has better meat, fruit and vegatables. the other items we need we have found other places to spend our money.
