  6. My grandson who is 5yrs old today loves to go fishing and hunting, my son-in-law takes him as often as he can, he shot at a doe last season but missed he told me he killed a tree. I haven't got to take him hunting yet but i have taken him fishing a few times, was with him when he caught his first fish without any help, baited the hook casted the bait out caught a 8" largemouth reeled it in and landed it. Fishing Rino I think the name of the ballgame is rolly hit the bat. played it a lot.

  10. I knew it was going to turn cold for at least a week so i thought i would take the dogs with me and try it today before it got to cold. Started out using a pumpkin seed jig with a rage tail chunk with mega strike scent, second cast caught 1 about 15" next cast lost jig. Put on pointer 100 RS took about 10 cast but finally hooked one about 14" after that about every cast was hanging up on rocks last cast i had to wade down river then wade out about 50 yards to get it back on the way back in i found a excalibur fat free shad hung on some rocks so i took off the pointer. Next i put on * trick stick 4" pumpkin seed with mega strike scent i caught 2 about 15" went a while no bites changet sticks went to one with a chartuse tip caught 2 real quick again about 15" then no bites. I tied a tube on next with megastrike scent caught 2 about 14" then i tried it in a little swifter water the first throw caught my biggest of the day 18 1/2" after that caught 1 more about 16" I was taking off my waders getting ready to leave when 2 friends showed up, i had to stay a little while and watch them fish by this time it had gotten colder. I was getting in the truck to leave when one of them caught a fish close to 20" I'll post his picture but my fish looks the same as most of the fish i have caught from the time I started early Feb. Sorry to all the northern Brothers who can"t fish yet. to make it worse I'm close to a 100 smallies on the year.
  11. Fish Chris by the looks of the big fish your holding you"ve got to be really good at playing fish, congrats on that talent. what I'm really good at is letting them get away. I think cart7t's Giraffe is in the middle of the rut.
  12. thanks guys for all the good complements, I know all my fish look a lot alike but fishing most of the time by myself the only way to take a picture is by laying it on the hog trough measure board.

  19. way to go, great looking fish!
  20. tuesdays fish, after losing three jigs saturday with the wind blowing and the water rising again today i thought it would be cheeper to buy a couple dozen shad that way the only thing you lost when getting hung up was a hook and sinker, had a buddy fishing with me today posted one of his fish.
  21. the fish i caught saturday was on strike king jigs with rage tail chunks megastrike scent, i fished this way untill the wind blew to hard (down river) and the water started rising which made it hard to get in the deep pockets. saturdays fish.
