  5. I have a hydraulic pedestal on the drivers side and a manual pedestal on the passenger side. Both from Cabella's. I wanted to be able to easily raise my seat for greater vision in shallow water without having to do it manually. Haven't had any trouble with my hydraulic. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  6. It's illegal here in Arizona and carries a BIG fine :'(. It's your money. How much can a trailer registration possibly be ? Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  7. It's actually quite simple. I suggest you buy a spark plug gapping tool at NAPA auto parts and ask the counter man to show you how to do it. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  8. It basically depends on the size of the bodies of water you fish. Here in Arizona, our lakes are huge, so the fixerupper bass boat would be the better choice. If your fishing will be mainly small lakes, ponds, small rivers, then the jon boat would probably suit you better. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  9. My grandmother actually got me started fishing at the age of 13. Fishing for snook from the bridge over Cypress Creek right next to their house in Ft. Lauderdale Florida in 1964. Thanks Grandma. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  10. I don't have a fuel/water seperator, but I had just installed a new metal and glass filter with the removable filter element before that last trip. My tank is an 18 gallon steel tank. I just pulled it from the boat today and inspected the interior. It looks beautiful. No rust or contaminants. Do you think it's wise to keep it topped off between trips ? I usually go about 4 to 6 weeks between trips . Thanks.
  11. I use a Bianci shoulder holster for my S&W 629 4" .44mag. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  12. I put in new plugs every spring. I only use Autolite. Always check/set gap before installing. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  13. I've never heard of Sea Foam before. I used regular Sta-Bil last year. Had to have my carburator and fuel pump cleaned and rebuilt. Water in fuel. I was quite dissapointed and $600 poorer. I recently purchased Star-Tron, but haven't used it yet. Haven't had the boat out since the work done. I also bought some of the marine formula Sta-Bil, again,I haven't used any yet. My mechanic told me to make sure to fill up the boat tank on the way home so there's no room for condensation to form in tank while sitting between trips. I'll be going out next month for the first time since the work was done. Any other advice from you all will be greatly appreciated. I don't want another expensive repair bill. Thanks. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  14. No one. I'm the only one. My Grandmother taught me to fish when I was 13 years old. I've been hooked ever since. Thanks Grandma. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  15. You are better off with a full tank of treated fuel than a partial tank. Mine was about 1/4 full when I had my problem, always fill up your boat's tank on your way home from your boating trip . Also, if you can, seal your boats vent while it"s parked to prevent moisture from the air condensing in the tank while stored. Just remember to remove the seal before operating the boat. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  16. The one that bothers me most is "have got" or "has got". Once you've said has or have there is absolutely no need for the word got. As an example, just leave off the has or have from a "have got" phrase and hear how crude the sentence sounds. Actually , the word got could be almost entirely elimanated from the English language and never be missed. Thanks for reading this ramble from the son of an English teacher. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  17. Absolutely necessary. Period. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  18. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Last July I spent $600 :'(to have my fuel pump and carburator rebuilt and gas tank drained due to water and rust in the fuel. I drain any gas more than 8 weeks old now . I also use Star Brite or Stabil Marine every fillup. By the way, I was using regular Stabil when I had to have the work done :-?. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.c.~boatU.S.~
  19. You are correct. The broken lines indicate a hybrid. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  20. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I installed a pair of 4" motorcycle headlights 8-) on either side of the bow on my boat to be able to see whats ahead of me when moving around after dark. Cheap investment for night fishermen like me. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  21. I like cocoons. Got the copper colored lenses and they're great. @ $45. I have a glasses rope that attaches to the legs and has a foam floater attached to it so if they fell in the water , they float 8-). West Marine carries the floater glasses rope. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~boatU.S.~
  22. I have a 16' fiberglass boat with 80hp motor. This boat works great on our large deep reservoirs here in Arizona. It's plenty fast (45-50 mph) small enough that I can launch and recover by myself, and is roomy enough for 2 to fish 12 to 24 hours comfortably. I have a friend with a 24 foot boat and it requires 2 people to launch and recover. I'm satisfied with my boat. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  23. I love "The Bird Cage" :owith Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Gene Hackman, and Calista Flockhart. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  24. I'm a bassist (hence my posting name) and harmonica player and vocalist, been playing over 40 years professionally and semi pro. I have 5 basses; 3 electrics, 1 acoustic and 1 upright. Also an electric 12 string guitar, piano, Hammond and Italian organs, and a 100 year old mandolin. Diatonic harmonicas in every key, and a whole bedroom full of amplifiers, PA gear, stage lights, stands, etc. My reguler fishing partner is a saxophone wizard who I've been playing with for over 10 years. My other fishing partner is a monster keyboardist that I've been playing with for 15 years. Music and fishing are both a big part of my life, and I started both at the age of 13. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
  25. I agree with the comments about the blues channels. Also, I think The Vault was much better than Deep Tracks. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~
