Trilene XL vs XT?
I use XL on all my spinning rigs ( 6. 10, 12 pound test) and on most of my bait cast rigs ( 12 pound test). I use XT ( 17 pound test) on my channel cat bait cast rig. On my flathead cat rig I use 80 pound test braided Dacron with 50 pound test Big Game mono leaders.

Best Value in Polazied Sunglasses??
Cocoons! I paid @ $45 for mine and I love 'em! I got the tortoise shell frames and copper color lenses. BPS sells Cocoons, but you can only get the copper lenses directly from Cocoons. Amber, green, or gray are available from retailers like BPS. The frames come in tortoise, black, and sand colors, and in 4 or 5 sizes from small ovals to the Aviator frames which will fit over prescription glasses. These are the ones I have.

Baitcaster v. Spinning
I use bait cast, fly cast, and spinning. Started out using spinning gear and used it exclusively for most of my life. Got into bait casting and loved it once I got the hang of it. Then I got into fly casting. Now fly casting is my prefered method followed by bait casting then spinning. I take 2 fly cast, 3 bait cast, and 3 spinning rigs on my boat.

tragic accident
Having lost my daughter to violence I understand the family's grief. My prayer was sent when I read this sad story. Lord, grant them your strength.

Boat Insurance
I also have State Farm at present, but plan to switch to BoatU.S. policy as they insure any age boat and it's equipment for what it would cost to replace it, not the industry standard replacement value.

Blues Rock
Yeah, I do a few Johnny Winter tunes, but I just classified them as blues tunes. We had a web site, but recently had a membership change. The drummer had the web site and as it was a nasty split, he took it down the night of the split. We're a better band now. Originally a 3 piece (guitar/vocals, electric & upright bass/vocals, drums/vocals). Now a 5 piece. Added 2 guys I played with for 10 years (1.guitar/electric bass, and 2.soprano-alto-tenor sax/ flute) and a drummer I've known for @ 10 years. Adding the second guitarist who doubles on bass gives me the oppertunity to double on harmonica which I couldn't do in the trio. A veritable pant load of talent here. I'll let you know as soon as we get a new site up and running.

green vs clear lines?
Our lakes here in Arizona are gin clear. Often it is possible to see down 40 feet or more. I only use clear line anymore. Can't speak for the rest of the country.

Cabelas
I have a Cabela's near by, but I buy my gear from BPS online. BPS has a much better stock of items and I have yet to be told anything I've ordered would be a back order.

Best Jig Trailer?
I use a frozen squid head that I cut off from the squid body. The tentacles have better action than anything I've ever seen, and it leaves a scent trail! The squid bodies make great channel cat bait.

Fishing safety
I always carry a gun ( concealed carry permit) and a cell phone. I consider both basic safety tools. Sad story about the Michigan gentleman.
