My Brain Hurts...
No fault differs from state to state. When I lived in Michigan our no fault insurance was that our own insurance company paid to fix our vehicle, our fault rates could rise, other motor's fault , no penalty. Now that I'm in Florida the no fault like New York's, the at fault motorist's insurance company pays the claim. I do believe in Michigan that the not at fault motorist's insurance company seeks compensation from the opposing insurance company, this takes place without the need for the motorist to be involved. Insurance agencies do not make policy, their main focus is writing business. Often claims are reported to a claim center and dealings are done thru a claim adjuster. In the case of my insurance company I would report the claim to my agency, it gets turned over to the adjuster, the agency is really just the go between.

Here Is A Tax Question For All Those Tax Guru's
I'll disclaim any information by saying I'm not a CPA. It is my belief that taxes are paid on ones total income regardless of how many jobs are worked. This may be the caveat, 2 jobs at 20 hours each mean they are part time jobs, depending on the employer that may disqualify you to any benefits that a full time worker gets.

Drag Question
Setting a lever drag is a bit more involved, but once used to it, like anything it becomes second nature. In actually operation a lever drag is pretty easy to use, now that I'm used to it I prefer it over the star.

Which Rod
The determining factors are the weight of the lure and the weight of the rods. I'm not familiar with that spoon but I quickly googled it and I saw 2 available, there may be others. One at .8 oz and the other at 1.3 oz, the lighter spoon could be used on any of your rods, but as RW said the 7'4" H is best for the heavier spoon. I personally would not fish anything heavier than 20# braid for spinning and 40# for b/c, I'd want a bit more line capacity and casting distance, but this only my preference. To expand just a little bit, I have a Star steller lite spinning rod mh 10/20 with a lure wt 5/8-2 oz, 4000 stradic 20# braid, holds lots of line and I get incredible casting distance. My other mh rods 10/20 rod have a max of 1 oz lure wt., I prefer to stay at 1 oz and under when using them. Quite honestly I would never fish this heavy for bass, the Star rod is my #1 snook and tarpon outfit, but it's all about personal choice, seldom a right or wrong. Which ever rod you use, staying within the recommended lure parameters is a good idea, I don't think the length is of paramount concern.

My Brain Hurts...
I think that's a bit of a stretch. J. Francho, at least to my knowledge, is not a professional tournament fisherman or guide and his sole income is based around fishing with his boat and trailer, a potential augmentation of income for sure. I can't answer this but were previous winnings reported to the IRS, and are 1099's issued. If the answer is yes there may be a weak leg to stand on, if the answer is no there is most likely no leg to stand on. Accidents are always unfortunate, sounds like there were no injuries, which is really the best news possible under any circumstance. It appears as though the insurance company is handling it correctly, it never goes as fast as we would like it too. An inconvenience for sure that no one would appreciate..........being patient seems like all you can do. Good Luck !!!

Recommendations For Cabo...
This is a dining recommendation, I've been there at least 20 times. The place is the Trailer Park, don't let the name fool you, it's beautiful outdoor restaurant with Mariachi. The basic history was this place started out at a trailer park on the outskirts of town, had a counter and a couple of tables, a couple from California bought it and she started serving gourmet meals. It was so good and popular they grew out of that location and bought a gorgeous property and moved the restaurant but kept the name. m It has always been heralded as the finest restaurant in Cabo, hope it's still there and it ain't cheap, pure west coast economy there. It isn't Maine lobster, pacific spiny back, happens to be my favorite. http://www.virtualto..._Park-BR-1.html

Drag Question
Question for DVT regarding easing off on the drag. As I mentioned above I have a lever drag b/c reel and when not in use I store in free spool. Never thought about it but I guess I'm not backing the drag down at all, it's just disengaged...........true? Setting the drag on a lever drag reel is a bit different of an operation than a star. Avet instructs setting the drag in free spool, then moving it to "strike" if not where you want it go back to free spool and re adjust, I may start doing that each and every outing, which is 1-2 times a week. I had it initial set at BPS and never changed the setting. The reel is going on 3 years and I've always done this practice, glad to say it performs like new.

Drag Question
Same here, with my spinning. My 1 b/c reel is a lever drag, not star, I just put the reel in free spool.

Help! In The Middle Of A Feeding Frenzy But Can't Catch One
When LMB are busting bait (I can't say this for other species) I am licking my chops. Any lure I have on my rod catches them, just like Packman89 said a fish a cast or at least a strike. The bass in my ponds have been busting over the last week, anticpating this I take only 2 lures with me, a rebel style popper and a spoon if I need distance to reach them. I strictly sight cast and seldom cast into dead water, I'm walking the bank. Keep your eyes pitched for shore birds like herons, bait fish of course and fish ripples. For me this is my favorite kind of bass fishing, I think it's the easiest too, the water is telling you everything you need to know.

Buying A Reel Without Touching It
Agree with everything stated above. Given the choice, I'd prefer to fondle it a bit. I bought my Avet sight unseen on reputation and the fact most of their models are available both right and left handed, I was not disappointed.

What The Heck
I use lures very similar to those, and they work very well in saltwater. With their profile they cast a ton, great for windy days. The ones I use are heavier, I like them around 1-2 oz, they come much larger than that too. The keywords I would look for are " freestyle jigs" or "sling jigs", BPS markets their own, Williamson and Braid( that's a brand name) lures make them too, off hand I can't think of any others but there are lots of them. Diamond style jigs are a good alternative too. Make sure you don't confuse them with butterfly jigs, the hook configuartions are different.

Vacation At Last!
Good luck with your vacation, recharges are always nice. Lund, my friend, don't take it to heart, it isn't life and death here. I have some personal issues coming to a head very shortly, at that time I'm going to take a few days off and disappear. Can't decide if a fishing rod is coming with me or not, as I fish everyday I want to be fair to my wife.

Umbrella Rigs..... Over Hyped? Worth The Money
Big, big difference in taste between packaged sliced bread loaded with preservatives and broken or hand sliced bakery bread. For me the same difference would be dragging in a couple 4 or 5# fish on some mammoth outfit that could easily accommodate some very large fish, and catching one 5 pounder on a comfortable combo with a great acrobatic display. Easy choice for me, I take the thrill every time over some boring Wonder bread sandwich( people still eat that stuff?) .

A Sight I Never Saw Before
Bull sharks around a small boat is a bit scary at times, species that are bleeders attract them. That said, I would rather be there than in freshwater, on the issue of safety. In freshwater (fish shore only) the gators don't really bother me, but it's a concern. Snakes have gotten me real nervous, haven't seen one in a long time but it's constantly on my mind. I must have been by fire ants hundreds and hundreds of time, they hurt, have worn rubber boots and they crawl and find my flesh...........I am really losing it for freshwater.

Umbrella Rigs..... Over Hyped? Worth The Money
There has been a lot of positives reviews using an umbrella for bass fishing, if one chooses to use it and it's legal in your area, go4it. My personal take is that I don't care to fish it, especially from shore, it's just too "busy" and I foresee many snags and tangles with it. I would have to use a heavier rod than I prefer, I don't like that. I don't know about anyone else but the average bass I catch is no where near 5#, not even close to that, heavy rods for small fish do not sit well with me. From personal experience I have caught 2 bass on the same lure and also using 2 lures like a drop fly rig or drop fluke rig, the bass swim together, negating the fight in my opinion. I would not buy one, if someone gave me one I'd try it, but it isn't a technique I could get serious about.

A Newbie Needs Help With His Setups.
I can only comment on the way I fish, which seems to be different than the consensus on here, that said I'm pleased with my results. For freshwater it's strictly spinning gear and braided line, I am not into technique specific equipment. The rods and reels I use are dependent on just a few factors, I don't over analyze it. Heavier baits get heavier rods and reels, bigger target species get bigger rods and reels, heavier slop, heavier rod to pull them out. Open water, as light as I can get away with, but again the lure weight and species dictate the equipment. I pay little attention to ipt and gear ratio, being a spinning man my retrieves are always different, pauses, jerks, twitches, been doing this for 60 years, had no idea I was finesse fishing until I read it on here a few years ago, lol. I keep things just as simple and easy as I can.

Has Anyone Ever Missed A Tournament By Sleeping In Too Late
Need to condition your "body clock". I have never over slept for anything, not once, and I don't use an alarm clock. In business when a customer wanted me there at 7:am I was waiting at 6, I was an hour early if they wanted me there at 4 am, which happened often. In my single days, we'd be out all nite drinking like a fish, eating hash browns and eggs at 4 am, drive to the golf course ready to tee up when they first opened. My dad used to wake me up real early to go fishing as a young boy, that developed my body clock to get up when I needed to, still holds true today.

What Line Should I Use On Shimano Sahara 2500?
For a 2500 sized spinning reel I would not exceed 8# mono or copoly. For my bass fishing in Florida on that sized reel I'm strictly a braid man, my choice is 15#, 20# is ok too, I never saw the need to use a heavier braid. I see you are in Boynton, I'm in Delray, I get much of my stuff at Dicks on Congress & Old Boynton. The Dicks on Southern Blvd in W. Palm is a bigger store with more selection.

On A Boat!!!
^^^ I agree^^^ When I had my boats in Michigan I took many people fishing that I barely knew, just bring your lunch, I never charged for gas, I was going anyway. Getting mugged in the middle of Lake St Clair was never a thought...........and it never happened.

Waiting Game On Shipments
With the exception of a pack of worms or frogs every now and then I haven't had the need to buy anything for freshwater in quite some time, what I use is readily available not far from home. SW is a different story, I replace tackle several times a week, always losing something for a myriad of reasons. I've honed my selections to just a few things that for the most part I can walk in and walk out minutes later. The only online purchases I make are DOA 5 1/2" flukes, DOA ships them out very fast. I do like BPS "hot lips" and "striper" jigs, it's more convenient to buy on line than driving 80 miles round trip, I do give my self enough lead time as not to endure a hardship. I will never buy a rod on line, I use mostly Hurricane Redbones and can easily be bought in stores close by. I am starting to look at some other rods, Hurricane no longer has an over the counter exchange, that's becoming a game breaker for me as much as I like them.

Smartphone Recommendations???
I'm probably not smart phone material, but I do have one. When my contract is up I'll be looking for something different. At present I have a Casio Commando (not my first sm phone), very rugged and the best actual phone quality I have used, that said the camera feature imo is lackluster. It does not have a dedicated flash, many phones have no flash at all, it's 5 mega pixels do not offer the best camera photos I have seen. The battery life could be better too. Each one of my 4 kids and 5 gr kids are i-phoners, and nothing but praise from them, it's a phone I will be taking a good look at.

Commercial Fishing
Fishing Rhino would be the person in the know, he was a commercial lobster fisherman. I see commercial fisherman each and everyday here in Florida, I know it's vastly different from crab fishing in Alaska. Danger aside, some of the fishermen here barely eek out a living, others that I have personal met live in some very expensive homes, one of them lives next door to my daughter on the intracoastal. These fishermen are out when the fish are running, 7 days a week, way less if the fish aren't around, feast or famine. On a side note, I knew a fellow many years ago, an electrician by trade, joined the merchant marine on the Gr Lakes, several years later he gave it up after he amassing quite a bankroll, it was far less dangerous work too.
